There was NO edited post as I was off-line and Alex will be able to verify that vindictive remark against myself.

Which post do you mean?

If someone refers to something in a thread then they need to clearly quote it and make annotations, or I don't have a chance of following what's being alleged...

Nah, It's not the same vec's as you posted.
 not starting a shit storm, not worth it, only I edit my posts,either to correct spelling mistakes made via predictive text on phone, or if I've made a post and forgot to add something I edit like the post you've read more into. I edited it as forgot to add the beginning sentence about mpu4, sorry if this guides no good bit that's,for cardie to decide, also with him being a creator far longer than me he to as dad puts it should know by now how to do it. The End
A fair few times you make a post and there are replies then you edit without an edit reason.....

Right lets clear this up once and for all there IS No edited posts made by Ady fact!!!  The only "edited" posts were made by myself fact!!!  All this started over a small comment made by Dad after I uploaded what I thought was a helpful text file. in which it appears not to be the case. I editing a post made after DADs comment/post which ends in "we're not all perfect" nothing insulting made just stating we all make mistakes etc, of which when I saved the said post I forgot to add the beginning sentence about the mpu4 part. Then Admin steps in and starts this pathetic slanging match once again accusing me of editing posts with remarks about members in. which isn,t the case I write what I think and add more if needed. Then I've tried to resolve this situation but only made matters worse by quoting Ady's post but put my reply within his post, which to me shouldn,t of happened but it has.

 Again sorry for trying to help members in future I WILL try to write my posts and double/treble read them before posting. Again sorry for an inconvenience caused by my errors in spelling or written communication, As said before we're not all perfect in English grammer and punctuation.

I hope this resolves the situation before it gets really out of hand and tarnishes an already fragile Fme community once again

Ady, This has been resolved... You made a post. Vectra quoted your reply and managed to stick his own post slap bang into the middle of yours.

You were not misquoted Ady. The text in the middle of your quoted post was clearly not typed by you as it is completely different to your original post...

I can see where the confusion came from here, but......... if you read the posts properly, it's quite clear how it started, Vecs quoted and typed his reply within the original text of the quoted post (which would have been clearer to some if his (Vecs) words were in a different colour.

 

But by scrolling back, you can see what he wrote, by comparing it against the original quoted post, thus imo removing the confusion.

 

What I can't understand is why all the aggro had to start (again).  Indeed as far as I can see, this latest load of tripe, came from someone (Vecs) posting something which he though was/might be, helpful.

 

It's bad enough that 'ordinary' members argue and fall out from time to time, but when it's Staff members who seem to be the ones either causing, or fuelling the fires, of arguments, something imho, is fundamentally wrong.  Surely people are appointed to higher positions, to keep the site running smoothly, not (as it sometimes seems) to make the road as bumpy as they possibly can?

 

Time after time, in the last few days, members have posted something, only for someone to have a go at them, with a rude reply, for what seems like no other reason, than they don't agree with what's been said.

 

If you have a problem with someone, you have 2 options....

 

1, Try and sort your differences out once and for all, between yourselves in private.

 

Or if that fails

 

2, Ignore what the person posts, instead of having a go at/about most of what they say.

 

Sometimes in the heat of the moment, we all say things that we shouldn't, but when these things are said post, after post, after post, not only is it boring and annoying, (not to mention it takes threads way off course), but it begins to look like bullying.  A strong word, I know, but what else can you call it?

 

Sorry if you don't agree, but this is how things are coming across to me, more and more.
