Have you seen the ads in the press about the "BIG" online Casino winner?

This guy staked "20p" and dropped in the £700k Jackpot!

Anyone ever won anything on these online games,

I can see myself blowing a weeks wages in 3 mins on these things, so I aint going near them :)

From an email Ladbrokes sent me....

Congratulations to Aberdeen Hospital Porter Ted Reid who scooped the biggest ever win in Ladbrokes 120 year history with a £743,897.43 windfall from just a 20p stake playing our Major Millions progressive slot.

To read the full story click here.

Major Millions is just one of our 20 progressive slots, which also includes King Cashalot with the jackpot currently around £490,000 and growing.

Why not try your luck today and give yourself the chance of being our next lucky jackpot winner.

By the way I aint promoting this, these look like nasty things :)

The reason I hate these so much is that there is no payback percentage as such...How much has been lost to cover that £743,897.43 win?

I'd guess about £10,000,000. And that is probably a good case estimate. I can trust machines like FOBTs to offer good odds on stuff like Heads / Tails or Roulette, but I could NOT trust a machine online with that jackpot.

Well, what with the politics in general, and the Gaming Bill, I think we should just be called America 2.

I had to laugh when I originally saw the article a few weeks back in a tabloid. There was an interview with the lucky winner, and the guy made out that he was not a gambler, however he later listed his other big wins which ranged from footie accas, real-life poker, horses.....

Not a gambler my arse!

About 20 years ago, I walked into an arcade and put 2p in a rat-race got a 4p win and pressed exchange pressed the first reel and the cash amount landed on 12p, the rat came in, I collected the 12p and walked out 10p up, just thought I'd add this to the post, IT CAN BE DONE!

Thought I'd put my 2 cents in here too lol

£743,897.43???? since WHEN did machines pay out 43p? I know it's an online JP but COME ON... does it increase in pennies (not played them, sorry if it sounds a stupid question)

Also... lets be TOTALLY honest here.

the NATIONAL LOTTERY has what... a 1 in 13.blah blah blah million chance of winning.

if you covered EVERY possibility you WOULD win... GUARENTEED!

however... it is STILL from a £1 bet as each line is a £1 bet.

Same here, he could have put £2,000 in there but it was one 20p that won

Same here, he could have put £2,000 in there but it was one 20p that won

this is exactly what happened.

you could only win the progressive jackpot(which he won) if you played all the lines at 20p per line(£4.00 a spin i beleive).

so its a bit misleading yes he won the jackpot on a 20p stake line but he may have spent a fortune before that.

btw

i won 700 quid last month on ladbrokes joker poker.

happy days

i was working on a system with ladbrokes `secret admirer` and `mermaids millions`

the later turned out to be a waste of time, but, on the basis of probability, i won on secret admirer. basically started on 1p stakes and only ONE win line, the rings can still count anywhere.. so, first 50 spins on 1p then gradually upped the stake and voiala, 2 rings went to 3 then 4 and finally 5 that then spins in 3 times, i really have no true figure, but it was a few hundred win, and at that point it was over £1 a spin.

however.... ive given up, since the next time i only achieve 3 rings, and lost a good £50. but thought i was onto something.....
