There are still bugs I am ironing out. The Valid Bitmap error being one of them.

 

If you dont have any abnormal security port 4000 should open automatically when amber opens. I have seen you connecting to the serve so it is working.

 

Just in case anyone was curious how it looks at the server end. see pic.

Not sure if it's me or the pc, but I still get the trying to connect for ages with nothing happening.  Amber is not even loading. Have no problems when playing offline.

Ok here's 10901. This should fix the reel editor, and allow people to connect again.

 

The server is has been restarted.

 

If you have installed the 10900 install pack. Simply extract the exe attached here and overwrite the file in your Project Amber folder.

 

You should be able to connect again then.

 

A bigger exe update will be available tomorrow with several bug fixes. Today's bug fixes have concentrated server side to get rid of various issues.

Just tried to install 10901 but it doesn't seem to work.Just get a lot of processing in the computer and nothing happening

You must use the Amber 10900 EXE to install Amber 10901 is just an update.

 

Install using 10900 then when it is installed replace the 10900 EXE with the 10901 EXE if you need any help i'll gladly help

The server is down at the moment for vital updates and upgrading. SHould be up around 7 ish and a new installer will be uploaded.

Here we go, better late than never.

 

Server has been updated to try and debug the last few issues I am getting server side.

 

A full installer this time as the Components, Sounds, and Emu have been updated simultaneously.

 

Sound has been converted from .wav to .mp3 to save space. Installer is roughly 30MB smaller now.

 

I have added in some checks so if you lose the server or get a dead machine online you can still quit the emu.

 

Lastly I have added a Challenge mode for online.

 

Every arcade has its own challenge mode and will be updated as time goes along.

 

Challenge mode - Get a set amount of credit, win as much as you can in that time. Hi scores are kept and the highest score wins the accumulated pot. Pot starts at £5 and goes up 50p each time someone plays the challenge. Challenge costs £1 per play, you can play as often as you like.

 

Also sorted out various bits of error handling.

 

Server is now back up, see you in there.

Have updated to the latest version, and can't connect to the server again.

 

Is there a problem?

 

Looking forward to playing online and getting in to the challenge modes.

Another update patch. You must have 10902 installed before patching the exe.

 

This will enable server connection again.
