@Fevernova. I honestly haven't a clue, everything you've shown me seems correct, and you are the only one having those exact symptoms.

I can only really suggest the standard answers..

1) make sure your motherboard/chipset/gfx card/sound drivers are up to date.

2) delete all of amber and reinstall it using the latest installer.

I am working on a sever/emu upgrade for sometime next week to really tackle some of the remaining bugs.

I've got some documentation being written as well.

I will sort the server out when I get a chance, I know some machines have been getting bugs and I think I now know why. I will do a test tomorrow some time to try and replicate the problem, if I can, then I will fix it asap.

Ok, thanks.

It has to be something to do with my setup and going online as soon as it runs 100% in offline mode...

As soon as the files finish scanning, before it goes to the orange screen, in online mode it just hangs there....

I had the same problem and I had 3 accounts names on my pc the main account being the administrator and the other 2 accounts allowing only standard access,,on the 2 accounts with standard access and the end of scanning it would just lock likes yours is doing,,i then tried it in the main account (administrator) it then worked fine

An update with what's going on...

The server is down at the moment pending an upgrade of the server interlocking to prevent save states being written to the wrong machine when multiple states are received by the server at the same time. This is what is causing the layouts to end up stuck or broken in online mode.

The server needs me to create some new challenges too and pay out the winners of the last set of challenge.

I have some real life business to attend to over the next couple of days, as well as sorting out a layout for Tommy C and his CHR removed ROMs for his machine.

In some more promising news the C++ conversion of MPU4 is progressing well. The m6809 CPU is close to completion and the 6821/6840/6850 emulations will follow suit shortly. I'm very pleased with the progress so far in that regard, I hope to have at least some machines running by next weekend.

I spoke to Killcrazy on Monday and we have laid out some plans which depend a lot on my ability to get up to speed coding in C++. The conversion of the existing techs into self contained dll's are the start of that. They will initially be released in Amber which should eliminate the speed issues once and for all. Once His emu is ready for release and the toolset is there the dll's will be integrated into his emu so everything is available in one all encompassing package.

There are some plans to take the emulator to the next level too, depending on some test programs I will be writing in the next few weeks. If successful I will start to tell you all what is planned.

Its going to be an exciting year for FME.

Looking forward to this getting up and running again (unless it's a problem with my account, been unable to play online for about a week now) :)

I read it, however shortly before then my Amber played up and I got kicked out, I wasn't sure if it was an account issue or server issue given nothing has been said in the past week and wanted to make sure you lot weren't playing and I was being left out :D

i have got a couple of more places to cover for resources

but the problem is theres really no point untill the resources and docs are out theres really no point doing the layouts till then

as there is only guitar who can do the reel masking

i have 2 converted layouts ready minus the reel which i cannot do anything with

as it will take a long while to get fixed

and to get the rare ones which will cost me 30 quid in train fare but theres no point me going at the moment for the pictures to left for months

I could try and have a go at doing a Amber layout, or at least get the artwork prepped . ain,t got a clue where to start though lol but then again I didn,t have a clue about downloading files into mfme a few years back and look at me now still here.
