Thanks elcondor for the roms folder advice. I've finally got mage to work. Cheers!

I'm glad that helps - to be honest, it's more of a feature of Windows file handling than any deliberate programming, but it works.

I use Emuloader too....I believe Duplu mentioned some problems with palettes and colours using Emuloader but AFAIK that shouldn't happen - it may be the colours in the games themselves are incorrect [which I believe is still the case on several games].

There are still some graphics issues on some games, but the recent update to 0.20 have helped to fix that up in some cases, such as Vegas Roulette, which now has a ball.

I've noticed a small issue on Scorpion 2 games which have more than three player controls on MAGE 0.20.
Basically, the system assigns control 3 and the front door to the same key.
A corrected exe will be uploaded to http://magesrc.sf.net tomorrow, but a quick fix is to load up the game, hit Tab, go to Input (This game), and select Front Door. Hit Return, press whichever key you like (the new EXE will use F1, as an example), and once the key is shown in the menu, press Tab again.

I dare say it will also be ported to Linux/Unix [if not done so already].
I'd forgotten about this, but someone did do it - and it probably still works (supposedly, you just extract the MAGE source over XMAME
