You can make a mame cabinet or buy one 1000's of games one machine.

Much like fruit machine collecting, you either wait ages for the right one, get lucky, or end up buying what is available now even if it's not a competitive price.
I don't know the ins and outs of arcade hardware but as well as MAME, another option might be any old cabinet converted - presumably you just need the right mainboard and can burn ROMs from any MAME ROM host? Would mean it would have wrong cabinet and artwork, so probably best to go for one of those 'generic' cabs that normally housed multi-game JAMMA and similar.
If it were me though, I'd go for a MAME cab with coin mech. All modern and easy to source spares, and an almost limitless amount of games in one cab so no swapping / buying / selling just for a new game!

http://www.ultimatea...rcade_table.htm
Comes with usb port so you can add more games....
12 Months parts warranty, 5 years tech support
not cheap, but having attempted to make one (via guide in retrogamer magazinne issue number 6) and considering the warranty, not a bad investment
worth a look anyway
If I had the cash, I would buy one

Not seen one for years!
Loved the handle bars with the real grips on this and the buttons just underneath to fire to papers.

Paperboy is an Atari classic, that's probably not a bad price if you really wanted one. The trouble is how many are left in the wild?

have always though of getting a mame cab but I know I wouldn't play it that much. I have an original xbox with mame on that and have not played it for over a year now.

Last time I saw a Paperboy was at Alton towers about 20 years ago on a school trip. They also had a Track n Field which had nice springy buttons which made for a better playing experience. I set a 3rd place World Record in the hammer throw and was well chuffed with myself for the rest of the day. Even getting soaked on the Log Flume didn't dampen my spirits.
Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

That place does not have many arcade machines in stock. AFAIK what they do is take orders from people for a machine they are looking for, then try and source one from somewhere - collectors forums, ebay etc. IF they eventually find one then they stick about 500% markup on it and then sell it on to the person who requested it (probably long after they have taken a deposit large enough to buy it and ship it to them in the first place).
I am a video game collector, just signed up here in the hope of finding an old classic fruit machine for my games room. I have a nice, working fully original Paperboy (pretty hard to come by). I bought it 10 years ago and have seen only a couple sold since in the UK....the last one of these was crazy expensive - something like £850. I paid much less for mine, but there's no way that I'd sell it for that now!!
MAME cabinets are OK for what they are, though places that sell them online tend to take this piss on these also. Some games which require dedicated controls though, such as Paperboy, you really need the original cabinet to play them authentically.
