If anyone has any comments / ideas for Project Amber's future, please post here.

With the imminent conversion of the techs to C++ if I can include any new features as part of the conversion then it will be better than adding stuff in at a later date.

What features would you like to see in the emulator in future. Suggestions, Comments and Constructive Criticism welcome.

Idea's prob mentioned before love all the little side games but the bingo needs speeding up takes to long in my opinion could you either speed the calling up or as said before can the player obtain more tickets to a max of six ie a strip, maybe buy them at a £1 a ticket, also can there be more profiles per fruit machine as in different jackpot or percentage levels. Eg say £5 86% or £25 on 82% or £6/82% £8\80% .
because the machines did have various profiles at the start of this I think alladins cave had a couple for instance, also you could do a raffle say the player has Been playing for a couple of hours they get entered into a bigger draw or do one for a certain time once a week say Saturday 4pm

You know I'm not a big fan of the colour scheme/style and the chat box being hard to read.  Could something be done about that?

I can speed up the bingo calls I suppose. Adding more tickets would require a lot of time to change the game.

Once each player has their own arcade you will see many more percentage and JP settings as it will be up to the arcade owners.

I'll see what I can do about the bigger raffle.

Someone has offered to do a very nice new colour scheme for me, it will come eventually. The time it takes to code a new scheme prohibits me changing it in the near future, but its something that will change.

What about the chat box do you find hard to read? The colouring or the font itself?

The colour scheme really.  An ordinary plain text box would do lol

Colourwise, just make it look like MS products did from 97-03.  Proper menu at the top, flle edit, settings, about etc.  IE same as every other emulator, and not like a trip whilst watching Yellow Submarine.

Scrap all the raffle, bingo, spinning wheels stuff, just get's on my nerves when trying to play.

Get back to the actual emulation.  End of.

:)

Thanks,

NQ.

I'll add an opt out of the mini games.

The on screen menu is essential for people playing in full screen.

Would this theme be more preferable?

I like the less orange theme as well. The dark one is much better (in my opinion)

One other question, how can we get more games in Amber? I don't mean more techs, I mean more games.

Do all the layouts have to be re-done for Amber from FME?

I'm more a real machine collector/player, but I do like playing certain games in the emulator(s).

Looks great! Title font could use a little tweaking (Looks sort of like amoer as opposed to amber).

Fussy bunch aren't you :D

Well Fuzion very kindly offered to do the theme for me when he has time, that was his mock-up. I will get in touch and ask him if he can still do it.

Perfect Guitar - much more pleasing to the eyes without getting my sunglasses out and taking a migraine tablet!  :bigeyes19:

As has been mentioned previous though, a better font for the 'Amber' title - one that does show the 'b' as the letter properly (I believe Helvetica or Segoe Bold would be ideal) :)

More games will be forthcoming once I release the docs, which are about 50% done.

Also the emulator is a little slow on some key layout designers machines (Tommy C for instance). Once the conversion to C++ cores is complete, speed will no longer be an issue.
