That's the boot noise by the sounds of it, the duurrrrrrrrr.

Mpu4 or software fault, make sure mpu game card is in properly & the game cartridge on the video board, also check grey connector that go from mpu4 game card to video board.

I have £4/£8 roms in mine 10p 20p switchable all cash version5

Thanks Richy, what would you suggest next, I have tried the connections on the two board taking out and back in again, I presume if I left it like this it would stay with the screen on saying alarm etc??

Looking like the mpu4, can you lend one to try

But the alarm can mean a software fault

If its a software fault can I do a full reset, however, I have had this baby saying resetting then re boots and repeats again, but as I just moved it, this don't happen, im almost certain something has dislodged, but needle in haystack

What version do you have Richy1976?  Version 5, it actually says this on boot up screen?

If you send me the software and mpu4 board mate, I can test on my rig and get them fully working for you if you'd like.  I can put whatever software you want on them.  £4 £8 token switchable, 20p £10 all cash etc.

J

There isn't much wrong with your Carlosgee, you have the pre-boot up screen, something simple there fella.

Definitely check the grey ribbon that connect the mpu4 to the video board.

J

Your software is intact if you can get the boot screen mate.  It's something fairly simple that is at fault.
