Yes, it fits only one way. Can you hear any sampled sound when the machine is booting. On earlier versions of Monte Carlo it would audibly say BWB in a scary sounding voice.

I'd reseat the mpu4 cartridge and the Barcrest video board cartridge, these are usually the main problem when the machine is not booting. These machines can be very problematic when being moved around.

I cannot hear the scary voice I know which you mean though, no buzzing coming from bottom speaker, have reseated the video board as that was very loose and taken out the cartridge and put back in again

Somehow the video board is not communicating with the mpu4.
Is the battery ok & not show signs of leakage?

Both me and Richy have a fair bit of knowledge on these BWB machines, feel free to post any questions here fella, you can contact me via PM not a problem but Richy actually has this same machine and might be able to give you better assistance in getting yours back running. I have a very unorthodox setup here, I just have all the main parts needed to play the machines, mine is basically a plug and play console at the minute.

it could be anything really, it needs a good checking over, its stopped working after being in transit, could be a dry joint on the mpu4 or anything.

be careful around the screen as well these can hold 30000 volts when off if they haven't been discharged first.

Out of the two big cases that are atrached to the door. I took the bottom one out of the black casing and slotted it back in and reconnected all the pins. Obvious but should I do this to the top one as well

yes that's worth trying - that card links the mpu4 with the mpu4 video board.
