Well it worked...then moved it fuse blown again new fuse in now shows the following image stays on resetting

I tried to turn volume up then turn the white knob on the program module, tried turning it back but still no look, and the psu keeps blowing my 5a fuses

frustrated beyone belief why did I touch the sensitivity white knob, tried turning it little bit then on again etc, but still stuck on resetting screen

Would keep messing with the reset sensitivity, otherwise your psu is faulty if it keeps blowing the fuse, prob the caps in it they will be 20+ years old or dry joints if it blew after being moved.

Different software from mine, mine says release E & switches from £4c to £8c on the dips.

There is a white know on the lower board and reset sensitivity on the top board which do I do?

well the psu is knackered as blowing every flaming fuse I put in, I will source another psu, is anyone able to take my cartridge etc and reset sensitivity for me?

Having no luck at all sorting out the sensitivity, never realised it could be so damn fiddly, if anyone has got the same machine, would you be willing to let me send you the programme cartridge and mpu4 board to sort out the sensitivity on your machine then place it in mine, big ask I know

The sensitivity has nothing to do with the blown fuse.

 

Its likely you've moved the program card while getting to the sensitivity pot and caused something to blow.

 

1) Turn the machine off.

2) Unplug the power leads connecting the PSU and MPU.

3) Put in a brand new fuse.

4) Turn it on.

 

After a moment turn it off again and check the fuse.

 

If the fuse has blown, the PSU needs replacing. If the fuse is fine, there is a bigger problem and just powering up the board with a new fuse isn't going to fix it.

The fuse only lows guitar if I open up the back door whilst switched on, or close back door whilst switched on. thanks for that, I only thought it was the sensitivity as when I changed that and closed the door it buzzed loud and freezes on reset

Did it ever work properly while you've had it?

 

What do the lamps look like if you leave the door shut and let it boot? Are they brighter than usual or dimmer or normal? That fuse is associated with the 48v DC which from what I remember drives the triacs and the lamps.

 

If you boot it door closed does it pay out ok without blowing fuses?

 

Is it a good board? What's the state of the battery?

Also, notes for the future...

 

1) never play with any of the controls in the back whilst the machine is turned on.

2) If you move a machine always check the program card and other plugs are secure before you boot up. Especially on a machine like this with a whacking great video card sticking out of the slot.

It has worked properly yes, if I leave the door shut it still just says resetting there is 1 zero on the display that's all no lamps lit or anything, checked all fuses which are fine. The board is good, the battery is not on the board its attached via wires to prevent battery leakage. If you look at a few posts ago on this thread you will see that the screen just stays on reset and can hear buzzing

I got one here but there like rocking horse shit now to get the right one where the fuses are a L shape on the top.
