Well technically this is a coinworld rebuild anyway. I'm very tempted to emulate the BGT (Unidesa) tech at some point, I've collected the docs together. But there's only about 5 uk based games.

Does that mean games like triple play will run. I'm sure that was early BGT. Had 4 reels one had a single, double and triple on it and if you got the Ms with triple it went nuts. Think it had hats on the reels too or that might have been a clone. Either way they where fab machines back then. Look forward to a possible new tech for fme.

Thanks ploggy. Flash the cash and max a million. If I remember correctly on flash the cash if you declined a win it would offer it again next spin or would drop in a better win. It was such a long time ago now. Would be amazing to see random replay but you would not be able to emulate a plastic ball dropping into a red or green slot to lose or win. I think I had 13 repeats and it was filled up 3 times in the end. It was in the tower casino arcade in Skegness and it had my initials as the top score until it was removed. JSL :-)

Its quite a straight forward looking tech, but its got a bit of an oddball processor. I have way too much on at the minute with the C++ conversion and other bits I've been tinkering with. It will get done one day as I want to play Max-A-Million myself again. But I wouldn't expect it this year unless circumstances change a lot.

BGT Ding Dong Bell was definitely not a prototype release, I've seen way too many in the wild.  They were everywhere back in the day.

The DX released was a rebuild on the mpu4 tech that came out at a later date.

J

Good point. Was the rebuild everywhere too?

The DX was a hybrid in the sense that the artwork was for the non MPU4 version. It had a reel on the top glass which I removed.

IIRC compostcorner uploaded the pic several years ago and I had it hanging around on my computer.

I've no idea what the MPU4 version looks like, nor do I know if it even existed for real (the rom may just be something they were playing with, god knows !)

The gameplay was different to the orginal BGT release.  I remember seeing these rebuilds in a seaside arcade, there were maybe 3 in a row, I'm pretty sure it had a top box connecting the units as well.

J

I'm pretty sure someone over at the mecca might have had one in an arcade at somepoint.  The one that used to be in a local seaside arcade went many years ago.

Shame you didn't witness the 'golden era' when fme was in its infancy.  Probably 95% of posts would be fruit machine related.  Certainly do miss those days, it wasn't all sunshine and ice cream even in those days.

I wish I'd of found this site and fme earlier pre2010 as yes I expect these sites were buzzing as already said the glory days of mfme are long gone but maybe still look to the future with the Amber'eppy emu who knows even in the great wizard's words when Amber is released he may release mfmev4, in the meantime it's great to enjoy what's here and what's to become.

Back in the day it was just so different to what it is now. Most people were on dial-up so it took 20 minutes to download a layout. I'll never forget the feeling of playing Roller Coaster and Casino Crazy on the PC for the first time, absolute magic.

Now resources are such a problem, even if every tech was emulated tomorrow how many games could we realistically make? There's not many machines for unemulated techs where we have Program ROMs, Sound ROMs, & artwork waiting to go. And with every year that goes by the chances of finding them are diminishing.

It's not been made any easier by the pigs that hijacked the mecca, turned it into a "I just got this forum" yet all act like selfish little spoilt brats when it comes to sharing resources.

Only one member on there ever bothered to help out the emulation community which, you know? that place used to be before it was taken over.

Would this release the Spanish side of the market to FME guitar?

There are some (I don't know) 50 odd different machines, but they are all the same programs (played 1 you have played them all basically).

I'm hoping this is the same Tech....please :)

I know a lot were Barcrest..but this would be a start.

You probably haven't set the AUX Invert option, or the Hopper properly.  Follow the settings on the picture attached and it should credit up and payout without too many problems.

The offset needs to be -7, on all three reels.
