Thought I Would Let You Know Ive Been In Contact With Amu-Lite & Have Been Send A Sample Of There Led Reel Lighting Kit, That Im Going To Text They Have Kindly Provided Us A 18 Pcs (10mm Bulb Upgrade) 

9Pc Set Of Warm White "Replicates That Original Colour Of Normal Bulbs" 
9Pc Set Of Ultra White "Modern Almost A Ice White Colouring" 

These Have Been Fitted To A Pair Of Machines & Done Approx 2 Days Of Work And Are Proving To Live Up To There Name.

Really would need to see some pictures to see if this is something that might be worthwhile

 

Have seen some LED conversions done in the past and wasn't that impressed, the lights didn't dissipate through the glass properly and looked far too much like sharp circular beams, rather than the normal 'warm' glow you get from filament lamps.

Do agree I've seen other Led Kits That Have Had A Direct Beam and Now So Much A Wide Beam Angle and to be honest not that wowed by it .

Meaning to take time and create a comparison picture

But these are a much sharper light output and slightly brighter than halogen bulb but not a overpowering diffrence

I think for the price the kits will be ideal for people with classics as these dont cause damage to the decals or glass print

But what do you think about the rrp price?

Would you be interested in purchasing?

We Decided To Leave The Middle One With The "Original Halogen Bulb"  And Installed The Ultra White On The Left Reel & Warm White On The Right

Looks pretty good to me. The price is probably about right, but whether people will be willing to pay that much is another matter. It depends on the value of the machine as to whether it's considered worth doing as an upgrade to an older model...

Must admit to being impressed with the 'warm white' effect. It's close enough (in photo at least) to suit older machines. The ultra white model might suit more modern machines, but would look a bit daft on anything older than 10 years, unless it had a futuristic theme or lots of other lights to compensate.

 

Given that the reel lamps are a nightmare to change (and you risk damaging the reel holding plastics), I do like the idea of a one-off replacement for all of them which should be maintenance free for the lifetime of the machine - and the lack of heat from the LEDs would result in less damage to reel plastics and reel bands going forwards.
