SYS83 was remmoved from the BBS before I had access. Ive emailed someome who may have the complete set. I do have I think almost a complete set of system 85 though.

 

Ill send my bank details. soon as im' paid ill upload them.

I'm sorry I must have missed all the recent releases of BFMulator. The last released version I can see was from 2005. So having done f*** all for the scene for 9 years why do you feel so entitled?

 

 

Personal reasons. Some prominent members on here about to be related to me by marriage. It made things complicated, I bowed out. no more to be said

So release it then, actually contribute and improve the scene. I don't really care who is in the scene, the more the merrier.

 

What I REALLY care about is old fruit machines from my youth, much like a lot of people who come here. If as much effort was put into the fruit machines, as is put into attacking Andy whenever he reappears we would have multiple emulators for every tech.

You know what, I don't think Andy is 100% innocent, but neither are the people attacking him, not by a long shot. But whenever Andy reappears he genuinely puts effort into FME and produces some cracking layouts. Whereas whenever you or Geddy appear its always just to attack Andy. If asked about FME stuff we just get a bunch of excuses, too busy, personal problems etc. I'm busy, I'm setting up a business. I have personal problems too, and yet I have been doing what I can for the scene for the last 7 years.

 

Either man up, and do some good for the scene, or at least sit down and shut up while others do.

They most likely will be now as things on a personal note have settled. Still, this isn't somewhere Ill frequent with Andy Tutton here, but fortunately I never lost contact with the important people here. Such as one of  the scenes founders, or most gifted coders. I'm hoping one or two will stop by later and deal with the bullshit posted here..

Well I assume you are talking about Re-Animator.

 

Stolen code? It was released by Chris on the MAME website. Did Re-A write his own CPU cores or borrow an existing one? Cos I damn sure wrote my one, as one didn't exist in VB til I wrote it. And I didn't crib from MFME for that either, I used the info on this website http://koti.mbnet.fi/~atjs/mc6809/.

 

The difficult bit of the emulation without code or docs is the memory map didn't Re-A work for bell fruit, must've been quite a challenge finding the memory map, when you just have to read the docs in the workshop.

 

Btw have you finished the emulator, has it got any layout tools yet or are you still writing scripts like its the 1980's?

For me, it's just all about the layouts and emulation, and the odd bit of chat   And I've been thoroughly enjoying Amber, mainly because it's been great to hear mpu4 sound!!!!  With MFME the sound has been distorted on all my setups I've had since 2004.

 

As to the original question, ask for layout permission if the original creator is still about, and talking!   If they've gone for good, I wouldn't worry about it, I'd just release a straight forward conversion...wouldn't say I did it though.  Original by Retrofruit, Harvey etc., conversion by xxxxxx.  That sort of thing I imagine would suffice.

PEN1 was contributed to by several scene members with Alex taking care of the kitty. They were willing to pay that and would have been completely happy had Gary not been a c*** the day after they won it by deliberately ruining it by releasing roms he had been f*****g hoarding.

 

The only involvement you had was to make the layout, which you asked to do. That was it. 

 

Blaming me for something that doesn't actually exist is probably one of the more stupid things I've seen in my life. I was f***ed over just like every one else and I put money toward it just like everyone else.

 

Seriously, stop being a f*****g idiot and be a man and grow up like pretty much every one has within the scene.

See what you don't know is how much I've already contributed to Amber. And you would never have known, because I specifically told him not to thank me or put my name anywhere in his emulator. But when you're playing it there's a very, very high chance you will be using something I made. Funny that isn't it. Unlike you I don't go on forums bigging up how wonderful I am and looking for gratitude from the minions.

 

So as for me f*****g him over? nah. Won't happen any time soon. It can't, there's nothing to f*** him over for because he's not a selfish arsehole like every other emulator coder we've ever had.
