I'm having a problem with my mpu5 frenzy just restarting either in middle of the game or when just stood in standby. It did it when i first had machine but seemed to have stopped untilttonight when it did it 3 times in quick succession and then twice while playing and on second time it reset credits but everything else stayed correct..

As anybody any idea what may be causing problem

I was going to suggest PSU with the iffy reel issue in the other thread but forgot to post, but this sounds just like behaviour with a dodgy PSU IMHO.

[edit - just realised it's two different - albeit similar - machines. I'd definitely suggest swapping the PSU on this one, and possibly the same on the Psycho Cash Beast too].

Normally it sorted issues like mine with overly 'bouncing' reels, which often included the number reel, but it sounds from the 'banging' like there may be some physical issue with the reel or mount. Have you made sure the mount itself (I assume it's push-fit?) is definitely securely bolted to the glass? I've had some come a little loose with age and this can cause annoying banging e.t.c.

For god's sake don't overtighten though, I've never done it but I'd imagine you could break the glass if you did. Basically just get a spanner on it and see if there is any slack, if there is then lightly turn until there's no slack, don't go crazy like you would metal > wood or similar :D

I think your right but seems tight enough.. I'm going to undo bracket and put some rubber type gasket and tighten bracket onto that and see if that stops the banging
