Apparently it looks like the UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party) have done very well in the local council elections... at the expense of the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats...

...they're looking good for the European elections voting too (results due in Sunday)!

I would much sooner be asleep - but I can't tonight - so I'm watching BBC News :)

I used to always book the day off after election day, so I could stay up all night watching the results filter in. These days, being self employed I cannot justify the time off. Always rush down in the morning though, to see what I have missed.

Good on UKIP I say, they have had all sorts of shite thrown at them over the last month, some very much justified, and still people have voted for them, I would rather the other parties speak up their policies, than denounce UKIP. And dishface promising an in out vote on Europe doesn't do it for me. I already voted Tory on that promise last time - still waiting.

I'd like to thank the UK for proving that most that have the vote shouldn't.

I don't tend to delete threads but I have a feeling this one is heading for the bin.

Democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.

I just don't feel that this site is the place for discussion of politics, except where it has a direct effect on fruit machines and FME...

Topic locked - upon recommendation and the fact that politics aren't really the place for public forums, as is neither religion of which you all know my opinion on that too.

Thank God I'm an atheist!

Apologises if this thread has caused upset to some members - it wasn't meant to :)
