Hey guys, I just bought a second hand Bling Bling Fruit machine. It works perfect on free play but when I put the door on it says I have 5 plays but won't let me play or accept any coins. Anybody know what the problem is? Cheers guys

Sounds to me like the door switches are either faulty or disconnected.
That's where I'd check first.

Cheers, the free play mode is fine and when I close the door it goes to cash mode alright but says I have 5 plays but it won't let me play them or put any money in. Is there a way of resetting it without a key? It all works perfect except when the door is closed. I checked the door switches and all seems fine but I'm totally new to this. Thanks for your help and if there is any more advice that would be very much appreciated.

You could take the stake and prize key out whilst it's switched off and reset it, then put the key back in (switched off) this could soft reset it, and see what it does then.... Unless you have a switchable stake and prize key? I'm not saying this will work, but it might help identify the 5 credits, as this maybe left before on free mode
Edit: Switch it on with no key and reset so it says 'new jackpot key' on alpha. Once reset, try that or put key back in whilst switched off

Is there anything I can do if I don't have the key? Or is there any way of getting a key for it? Thanks for all the help

I see that now...sorry. Just tried taking it out when the machine was off and put it back in then turned the machine on. It just did the same thing. It said "initialising" the went back to "0.00" over the bank and ".05" over plays. There is also a % key beside it. is there anything else you think I could do. Really appreciate all the advice, cheers

when you say '.05' over the credits/play, that would say that there is 5p credit, but wont let you play if it's 10p play or higher... if you press the start button, what happens? nothing? or does it spin reels? or does it add credit???

Nothing happens, when I put money in it goes down to the cash box but doesn't register on the machine. Is there a way to clear the 0.5 credit off?

Not something I've seen before. There is a way to rest the ROM/RAM... I think you take the game card out whilst the machine is off, switch on for a few seconds, then switch off, then put the game card back in and switch on.... I'm sure that clears the RAM... This will also clear the credit and can sometimes clear issues... But don't take the card out or put back in whilst the machine is switched on or you will damage the MPU... The game card is on the MPU where the stake and prize key and the % key is

Ok, I just took the game card off while the machine was off...turned it in for a few seconds...turned it off and put the game card back on...turned the machine back on...no change...nothing resettted and the .05 over the"plays" Is still there. I'm sure it's something simple as the machine is working perfect. Does the hopper need to be full? Or is there something I can do to reset from the computer down the bottom? Or should I be switching it off by the switch on the computer down the bottom, and not by the plug in the wall? Cheers, I don't mean to be taking up all your time this is,just annoying me.

Hmmm, I'm sure that's the way to reset the mpu... You may need to look it up somewhere as there maybe more steps involved. The hopper doesnt need to be full, the machine doesn't even need coins to operate technically, and switching off by the wall is fine. You have a Red Gaming machine? The mpu and tech seems really weird and much different than a barcrest

Yeah it's a Red Gaming Machine, as I said it's all working perfect on free play...when I close the door it goes to cash play but just won't let me play. Do you know of any other ways I might be able to reset it? When I take the gaming chip out do I close it all back up and turn it on...then turn it off...open it up again and put the gaming chip in and turn it back on?
