Here's one for you all and this is 100% true.
my dad who lives in Milton Keynes he would never hurt a fly he is coming of age and just wants to spend and live the rest of his life in peace, We a few months ago he had an issue with the local post person who kept walking over this certain patch of garden which all the neighbours had tried to get the grass to grow as it looked awful.
after weeks of putting grass seeds down and looking after that are which I will add was the gap between a couple houses the grass had grown and it looked lovely, a few times himself and the neighbours kept catching the post person walking over this patch and they would say to him can you please walk around that patch to the doors please ?
well after some time my dad and his neighbours started to notice that post was going missing, letters from DWP or from landlords over a period of the next few weeks they was all having post going missing so they took action and contacted their local office to inform them what's going on and it turned out after a few weeks of looking in to it the post person took a grudge against them and was purposely not delivering their post..
I'm not saying all post people are like this though just a story that's true, The post person we have here is amazing he is friendly he delivers around the same time every single day and he knows us all well for example if we don't answer he knows who or where to deliver it to so we don't get many cards through the letter box to collect from depot.
just my 2 cents If this needs moving to the other Royal Mail thread please do

Shame they released the limited edition 'safari' one AFTER we'd done the house and car inrurance, cos they are fetching a load more than the original ones.

There will always be (i'm sorry to say) some bad fish.

Royal Mail themselves do all they can to punish the bad, you need to blame the courts chasbons.
In this online newspaper you'll see they publish the bad one's...and they DON'T hide it.
I bet a fair bit of ebay stuff is stolen, whatever company it comes from.
I read some peoples post's on here and other media, and they don't even have a bloody job on 'work' related threads, yet still give their Two-Bob's worth of shite....!!
Today I was in some flat's, a regular customer get's parcels...they weren't in and yeah, i'd have left a card............inconvenient I know....but the item would be safe.
How did I know they were out?.............as I was doing the mail a different firm came in with a parcel, scanned it and lobbed it on top of the communal postboxes and cleared off....I said to him "that's not safe"......his reply was "tough they should have been home"..........That's bad service, I hope you'll agree!!
I worked as a Police Officer for 12 years with Sussex Police..........they get slated too, only half those that 'slate' know of the in's-and-outs.

In this online newspaper you'll see they publish the bad one's. Thanks for that I'll have a read of it later, but publishing the offenders names doesn't make any real difference, when the robdogs have already been to court and sentenced. Their identities have already been plastered over their local newspapers, (and sometimes local news and radio) which I would imagine have a far bigger readership, more watchers/listeners etc, so how does publishing them again in the 'Courier' do any good? Apart from other postal workers maybe being put off trying it for themselves, I can't see much point in it tbh.
I bet a fair bit of ebay stuff is stolen, whatever company it comes from. I totally agree, and there's thieving sods in most workplaces
I read some peoples post's, and they don't even have a bloody job on 'work' related threads....!! Sorry but I don't see how someone not having a job, should exclude them from posting in a 'work' related thread. Just because they are unemployed, doesn't mean they have nothing constructive or otherwise, to add to a debate.

Yes I totally agree, I'd have taken his van/cars reg number and reported him, might even have taken a pic of the parcel for proof as well.

As proof to who, you?...........I see it so often you wouldn't believe....i'm only saying what I do as it's totally justified.
Bottom line is, Royal Mail is a big company and (as you and I said there are (sorry to say)) crooks.
Royal Mail do all they can to 'scan' (and by law are allowed to do too) employees beforehand....so your grievance needs to be pointed to the person the was given then opportunity of a honest job and abused it...not the company that gave them the chance.
I'd LOVE to see the percentage you come up with of criminal v's company size....I don't know it, I do my job and that's all that interest's me...I give a lot of effort into my job in various way's.....way's I need not tell anyone in the social media.....but it give's me a personal achievement...and working for a company that DOES give a damn feed's down to 'us lot'.
I can say it 'till the cows come home..............you won't believe me I know..................or you'll insist on some of a 'few' fact's to fuel your campaign, that's your choice.....
All I ask though is please don't show ignorance.

As proof to who, you? No not to me, to the courier company the bloke worked for, I'd have the proof in the photo, that I wasn't lying about where he'd left the parcel, when I reported him, that's what I meant............I see it so often you wouldn't believe....i'm only saying what I do as it's totally justified.
Bottom line is, Royal Mail is a big company and (as you and I said there are (sorry to say)) crooks. Unfortunately this is very true, but then, there's good and bad in everything.
Royal Mail do all they can to 'scan' (and by law are allowed to do too) employees beforehand....so your grievance needs to be pointed to the person the was given then opportunity of a honest job and abused it...not the company that gave them the chance. I don't have a grievance with RM, I'm just putting my point of view forward, no more, no less. I just don't like the way they do some things, which is why I don't use them unless I have to.
I'd LOVE to see the percentage you come up with of criminal v's company size I've no need to come up with any percentage, all I've done is post a link to the lastest postman, who's bee robbing off the public....I don't know it, I do my job and that's all that interest's me...I give a lot of effort into my job in various way's.....way's I need not tell anyone in the social media.....but it give's me a personal achievement...and working for a company that DOES give a damn feed's down to 'us lot'. I'm happy that you have job satisfaction, if more RM employees were like you, then maybe they wouldn't get such a bad press.
I can say it 'till the cows come home..............you won't believe me I know..................or you'll insist on some of a 'few' fact's to fuel your campaign, that's your choice.....
I have no campaign, I'm voicing my opinion, just like many more have done on here, why you get so worked up about people slagging RM is beyond me. OK so you're a postman, and you do the right thing with the mail you're charged to deliver, but there's really no need to get stressed when others don't like the company you work for. Their comments and anger are directed at RM not at you, yet you seem to take the comments personally.
All I ask though is please don't show ignorance. No ignorance here I'm afraid, only a point of view which differs from yours.
Latest replies in red so that people don't get confused and lose track, seeing as my last ones which you quoted, were in blue.

I agree with you there, we had a similar thing regarding a porch.
We actually have one, but you can't open the door as there's a 7' fruit machine directly behind it, yet according to Yodel, they had left it in there.
Like I've said before, there's good and bad in everything. The only people I've never had a problem of some sort with (and I know I'm tempting fate here) is Collect+.
Just watch everything go tits up with something now I've said that! lol

Sorry to be going on again, but I just HAVE to tell you this.....
Since having new carpets I put my B3 machine in the tiny porch behind the frot door, so as not to ruin the carpet. It's a VERY tiny porch and only just fits the machine in it, so we have started using out other letterbox, as anything pushed through the front door can't be got at without loads of aggro.
Anyway, the back door is also on the front of the house and leads into the garage, so we had a sign made saying...
Please use letterbox by other door....
and stuck it on the lettebox flap on the front door. I also hammered a wooden wedge into the hole so that people couldn't push stuff through. This was two weeks ago and everything has been fine.............. till today.
New Postman!
In his infinite wisdom, he's stood there and managed to force the wedge right through and posted the mail!
Fortunately I was in and heard the wood drop behind the machine, I went outside and confronted him, only to be told he hadn't seen the sign, and he asked why it was such a problem. I told him we can't access the letterbox from inside, without loads of aggro, and he said that wasn't his problem.
This statement was like a red rag to a bull and I lost my temper, told him what I thought of him and his attitude (plenty of 'f's involved) and I came in and rang the PO complaints dept.
Lovely girl on the phone, took all the details ( I even told her that I'd lost my temper and sworn at him etc) and she's passed it on to my local office for them to have words with him. She said not to worry about swearing etc and that she's probably have done the same!
What I can't get my head round, is why someone would spend a few minutes standing there trying to force something through a letterbox, which is obviously blocked for a reason and has a sign saying not to use it!.........
Actually yes I can understand it, the blokes obviously mentally deficient!

A postman who made a three-foot bonfire out of thousands of undelivered letters and packets has been given a suspended prison term.
Dean Bestwick, 23, from Cedar Avenue, Alfreton in Derbyshire pleaded guilty to arson at Derby Crown Court.
The court heard Bestwick, who was suffering from depression, also admitted failing to deliver an additional 4,012 items.
He set the items on fire in the garden of a house in Heanor, Derbyshire.
He was ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work, pay £1,800 costs and received a suspended four-month jail term.
Bestwick had worked for Royal Mail for three years in Alfreton.

Blame the Courts not Royal Mail.
I was a Police Officer in Sussex for 15 years, you can't believe the 'penalties' given out to some crimes by Magistrates at times .
Have you a link to the one bob please?
