No, wrong on all counts. Probably best not to draw too many conclusions from what I say, as I'm bound by various constraints that don't apply to others as to what opinions I can air in public.

Ok Alex, I uderstand.

But on the other hand, when people have proof and reports are made, these 'constraints' surely can't be stopping you from taking some sort of action?

Sorry but I agree with what Tommy says above, this is going to end up going too far if nothing is done to stop it.  I know you don't particularly like conflict, but unfortunately, sometimes, things simply HAVE to be done or said for the good of the members here, and tbh, it REALLY looks like you don't want to or can't, do anything about it, or at least, that's the way it's coming across.

The biggest problem for me, is that when something happens and there's a problem, nobody gets any sort of resolution, because nobody gets replies or info about the things they have reported or complained about, which to me, is quite simply, wrong.

Right Phil..... matter has been discussed in staff, and I will reply to you here in the same words I responded to in staff....

The quote "Wind your neck in before someone chops it", is nothing more than a very direct and common way to inform someone that (In this case) they are just making a mountain out of a mole hill, and to modify their behaviour, before someone has words and / or bans you from the forum for Trolling / Harassment.

If you have a problem Phil, I suggest you take matters up with Staffordshire / Derbyshire Police, and let them see what the answer to you is then..... I can be pretty sure it will be something along the lines of..... do you want us to book you for wasting police time?

Thank you, and good night! :)

may I just add that we DO take this seriously.

I sent a PM to Phil asking what this was all about (and indeed remains a PM).

Though it, and a 2nd PM from myself had been read at 10:08pm last night (05/08/14) I have not had a reply either...........not even a "sorry I want to talk with Alex".

A PM acted on promptly is ignored, a report IS addressed always promptly too....This don't add-up to me!

Although this site is run as a business by necessity (it has to be paid for), it isn't one. Therefore it has no capacity for the provision of customer service.

I receive no wages. I work full time most weeks, I do a lot of work for a charity (currently unpaid, I don't even claim expenses). The rest of my time is taken up by the usual domestic drudgery that accompanies life in a badly modernised, 150+ year old house. I don't have any spare time to spend replying to reports about things which are almost always insolvable. Any replies would only lead to entry into a time-consuming dialogue about why I'm wrong.

Believe it or not my ownership of this site started out as a semi-altruistic hobby, which has been turned into a nightmare by opposing groups of people who hate each other and will never be able to see eye to eye.

In a situation in which doing anything is sure to upset someone, it's usually best to do as little as possible.
