Well spotted!

There were in fact 2 of those on there yesterday, however I snapped one up after just a few hours - ending what has been a five year search to buy one of these!!!!

I pick it up today (Saturday) and cannot f*****g wait!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to be able to get more games for it (I know they will only work in demo mode), but I will purchase licences for another few games. I'd quite like -: £500 Price is right, £70 money mad martians, £70 Rainbow Games.

Does anyone have any triple 7 Bpak's, or know where they can be downloaded from?

Cheers!

A couple of things I want to fix...

1) The LED boards (the 8 lights on the sides of the monitors) seem to have gone. I don't know if its the LEDS themselves, or the LED Driver boards, but I'd like to fix this.

2) The "Help" button isn't very secure, so that needs fixing on properly. The LED seems to flash intermittently inside this button, so I'll need to have a look into why its doing that.

3) The "Start" button is cracked, so I'll replace that. Quite a fiddly job by all accounts!

4) The coins acceptor (an SR3) doesn't take new 5p and 10ps, even though it says "new 5p and 10p ready" on the back. Not sure if I need to enable this, or why it won't take them?

Not sure where I can get the parts, but I've got the part numbers, so I wonder if Barcrest will entertain me?

Other than that, the machine is damn near perfect!!!

Very nice machine, some good games there and for a very good price by the looks of things.

Is it MPU 5 or MPU 6 that can be a little unreliable or is that complete nonsense?

I was talking to a few of my friends in various locals over the past few months and they have told me the Triple 777's or above CAN be a bit of a pain

in the arse and have a habit of going wrong???

I was looking at one myself in the near future but these rumours have put me off slightly.

I can't see any reason why they are unreliable as 9 times of out 10 I hardly EVER see these 'out of order' in arcades (apart from 10p shortage IOU's)

so I am wandering why I would be told this.

There is no reason for me to think why they would exaggerate or lie about machines they own themselves, so would be interesting to hear your views on

this type of machine..............

Hi Jon!

I haven't heard any rumours myself about these being unreliable, but I guess we'll see in the coming months if they are or not.

MPU5 and MPU6 are both reliable, to my knowledge. If they do break down, which is very rare, then they can simply be replaced like for like.

I wouldn't be put off if I were you.

If I was you I'd get one, they are fantastic!

Yeah I have been tempted, but like you trying to find them for a decent price is the problem.

In a way I could try and find one now while they are still new ish so you get a 'not too tired' machine, but on other hand if I wait, yes they may be cheaper

but they are going to be more worn, therefore it's a case of getting what you pay for!

I urge other members to keep looking and post them on here as 'mainjohn' has and hopefully I will find one that's in the budget soon!

Barcrest will not help with any parts or service. They will want a operators licence to say anything. Very unhelpfull company.

Game licences will be near impossible to get unless you good friends with right people.

How much U give for that may I ask?

Yeah, I think too many people have been ringing them up asking their staff to help with 'machine problems at home' and have probably got to the stage

of being fed up with it.

I have rung them up once or twice in the past and they normally asked what company I was calling from, or who I was.

Maybe some people have lacked a little common sense in this department and told them the truth instead of using a good fake name or made one up

which (if you want help) is the most sensible thing to do.

That's a shame as they were very helpful when it came to technical issues and they solved my problem very quickly, just such a shame that they now

ask for this information.

Seems strange that a company make it so difficult for the "man on the street" to buy something from them. Surely they are severely limiting their market with this policy?

I got for the machine for £1750. I was going to get two and go the way of community gaming but decided to pass in the end.

That's a good price you paid, bargain!

I've always wandered about the community ones, are they separate percentages or do they work together as a joint payout?

I was playing a Star Wars New Hope £500 the other day with the missus, so for fun we split a couple hundred and see who got what.

She got the community twice, I didn't get it at all. The first time I got about £60 and she got the bronze pot, but the second time she only won £40, however mine gave

me the silver pot.

I've never dreamed of playing with just 'some random person' as even though it was both our money I would have been really pissed if it had been me who dropped

the 'community' and they got the pot out and not me, but it has always confused me how it all works?

You could pile 100's into your machine, get nothing and the player next to you could win everything, which doesn't make sense!

Is it possible that BOTH machines can do 2 sets of pots, as I know all it takes is one of you to get the feature and you are then BOTH in.

It's a very fun experience and have to admit I'm quite addicted to it, but also when it's says 'press start' to join community bonus (e.g the other player gets it)

what happens if you don't press?

I daren't try it, but just wandered how this whole system works? Does anybody know?

What happens if you don't press? The bonus doesn't begin and the other players get really angry with you!

I can't believe no one has bought the other Triple 777 thats for sale yet!!!!

No, what I mean 'Fruit Bash' is if you don't press...............

Does that mean whoever didn't  get the bonus will get kicked out of the feature and not take part, by not pressing?

Or do you mean that neither of you will enter the feature if one or the other player doesn't push and you will simply hold the game up?

Not that I would be that stupid not to do it, but just wandered what would happen?

In other words is the bonus from the player who got it, an invite from the other machine, which you can take or turn down?

Fruitbash, if I had the funds I would buy the other one :)

As for if you don't press, I don't know but from a coding POV I would expect it to time out and force it to start the bonus.??

I don't know for certain, but I'm assuming that this is the most likely thing to happen. I suspect it gives, perhaps, 30 seconds to press the button, before it just goes into the feature anyway. Otherwise one player could refuse to press the button and everyone else would get really irritated!

Considering the other machine still hasn't sold yet, I'm tempted to just buy it myself, get a couple of licences for Money Mad Martians, and have a two machine set up with a £70 community game on the go!

I've now cloned the machines hard drive onto both the hard drive on this computer, and to a separate "ready to plug in" sata disk drive. I did this as I had problems with my Elvis sit down machine, and when I needed a hard drive image I was lucky that someone had one. If they hadn't, I'd have been snookered. I'm not taking that chance again! It'd be a 1 in a thousand chance to find someone with a T777 hard drive (for MPU5) who would let me copy it.
