I had a friend over for the weekend and they wanted to see the emulator running the online stuff. I managed to update the IP address so until it stops working again, the server will be available for use.

 

This is an exe patch for the original latest version of amber 1.0914.

 

There's nothing new in it, just updated to allow the server to work temporarily.

 

Existing layouts, usernames and passwords should be compatible.

 

The new version of Amber 1.1000 will be released when I get the sounds sorted as I have microphone issues I need to attend to.

I have had to do a refresh and  need to register comdlg32.ocx can somebody tell me how to do it as its been a while

I have given up for tonite as I getting no where so its back to the drawing board tomorrow do get that dammed osx file registered

Download the installer from the 10910 thread.

Run installer as admin.

Patch the new exe over the top of the one in project amber folder.

 

All required components should now be registered.

 

Dont forget to move the roms/layouts over.

all working fine my end as it always was. All I did was overwrite the exe.file and voila I was in, raffle n all cheers for doing this guitar.

I am using windows 8 and the comdlg.ocx wont register

Im using windows 8 banditboy and its worked on mine

I use this for ocx it updates installs them.

It adds a test you net speed to your desktop but I just delete it.

Amber finally gone off line again, but thanks for this bank holiday bonus. It was nice to fire up amber again and play more realistically, look forwards to playing it again in the newer edition.
