I am just asking if anyone on here is selling a triple 7 fruit machine or if they know anyone else who is selling one

If anyone knows any good shops which do good prices, i am looking for the rocky slot machine game which is made by barcest which they have in arcades and amusements

I am willing to pay if the price is suitable and it doesn't matter if the machine is brand new second hand or used

if anyone has any information which may help that will be great and would appriciate it

Thanks

It's a shame as you have just missed out on one on ebay.

I think it's ended now and that was a Triple 7.

I forget his name, but one member here bought one a couple of weeks back.

Bloody good price too.

Price range would depend on what type of games it has on it and how many games you can put on it

1. They are not that old games.

2. Playing them online for free is not the same as owning your own machine, not even close.

3. £2k - 3k + is the going rate for such a machine with 9 games on as there is quite a nice bit of tech in them.

4. Yes, I personally wouldn't want to pay that for one when you see the frequency I have to change the PC's in them but that's the going price, you will struggle to get one of the same spec and games for less than that I can tell ya!

Quite simply because they like them and prefer to play a 'real' machine.

I have to say I find it a strange comment coming from a Layout Creator, when there's thousands of people with machines at home, both new and old, who by having the actual machines in front of them, can give you anything you need to make an emulated version of it.  If every owner got rid of their collections, surely that would lessen the amount of resources even more, which wouldn't be very constructive?

Plus if the man in the street had never had access to real machines in the first place, there probably would never have been any need for places like this site.  At least, not with the large amount of games which are already available, and who knows, given enough time, 777 cabs etc might be classed as 'classics' in a similar way to the likes of ones from the 70's and 80's are now.

Ok I doubt it, but you never know, as strange things happen. ;)

but they will never run on a standard or pc as they have too much security on and plus they will need a mpu and 2 screen so that

and plus if Barcrest find out there is copys of there games are in the wrong hands they would go mad

Sorry, but I didn't say 777's, 888's or Rio machines would ever be emulated.  I was referring to the machines that have already been done. but then it's not too long ago people would never have dreamed that some of the techs we have now, would be emulated, so you can't say 'never' as there are some VERY clever people out there!

When I said 'classics' I meant they may become 'classic machines', not 'classic' layouts.

Your original post which I quoted, seems to be saying..... why buy an older machine, when you can play online for free..... and the point I'm trying to make is, that if people took the same attitude towards ALL machines, then there would be no need for emulation, and it's THIS that I find a strange thing, to come from a Layout Creator.

When things are 'new' people don't usually think that whatever it is, will probably only have a relatively short shelf life, and so don't bother preserving it. Then years later when someone in their infinite wisdom decides, 'oh it would be a good idea to try to reproduce so and so', they suddenly find that it either no longer exists or that it is extremely scarce, hence the trouble people have nowadays trying to find new things to emulate, or are desperate for this sound rom, or that version of a game.  Who would have thought that back in 1970 something, a flyer for a machine would be being looked for and desperately wanted/needed to make a DX?  IMHO nobody.  So if there weren't people collecting/restoring machines, no matter what their age, there wouldn't be any chance of creating or improving on, new or old emulations today.

Also, I would imagine that Barcrest already have a good enough idea that there are things already in the 'wrong hands' as bpaks and cloning of Rio HDD's have been mentioned hundreds of times on this site alone, not to mention others.

Very true chasbons. Who knows even donds Will be wanting emulation eventually that's why I said in previous topics, we need to collect everything that's being produced now for the emulations of the future or in ten years we'll be in the same problem that we are in now regarding older resources, even my beloved partytime will be a virtual emulation one day. If it wasn't for collectors of machine's/resources then even my latest few layouts wouldn't of been made so never dx'ed. And there's nothing better than playing a real machine as winning on an emulator just isn't the same.
Anyways back to topic lol.
