yes back to topic, to Daniel the OP.

Daniel the OP has asked me to delete his account, for reasons which are not immediately clear. Perhaps it's just because it's all the rage these days!

emulating a t777 or t8 would be the easy part. getting around the mpu6 would be the hard part. you then have the issue of licenses etc. but im sure a would be hacker could get around it

It's like that with all machines not just 777. (I guess you don't like 777's etc from your recent posts about them?)

Always has been and always will be, just a sad fact of life I'm afraid.

It's one of the reasons I try to be selective with who I help, not much point in spending time on someone who's going to knob off as soon as they have either got the machine they want, sold their machine, or got their machine fixed, basically for free.

That sort of person does my head in!

this site might as well have a paid section for the triple 777's i.e a 10r donation as if they wont some games they pay for the privallge

as a 10r in a machine wouldn't last a minute these days

That's never gonna happen, SG would get this site closed pretty sharpish if it started selling 777 software!

There is a SIM of money mad martians community tho not that it was exactly the same.

So you think people should have to pay for things that members have supplied for free?

Christ I would be rich, the amount of stuff I've sent to people, half the time not even wanting the postage money, and you think it's right to start charging people for files they download from here!

Should this apply to all files then or just the 777 stuff, which you seem to be really anti for some reason?

I can really see that going down well........ not!

Plus like fruitman says, the site would REALLY end up in the sh1te and most probably vanish PDQ!

For the OP - I have a Triple 7 - It has 4 B3 Games in play mode, and over 80 games in demo mode. The four working games are Rainbow Riches, Golden Charms, New York New York, and brand new £2 game Rainbow Riches Pure Gold on £2 a go (licence worth £1000 on its own just for this game). - The RIGHT money would secure it, and it would have to be the right money, as I've been searching for mine for 5 years, they simply aren't available - as Nails pointed out, if you don't have an operator licence, or a PMA licence, they are going to be pretty difficult to get hold of.

As far as hacking a Triple 7 to remove the licence protection, I've given it a go. Here is what I've found:

The PC starts up, and loads Barboot. This in turn loads up Windows XP embedded. In turn, this loads up GE.EXE (Which I assume is the Game Engine code).

Barboot is reverse engineerable, as is Windows XPE. Unfortunately, the software which controls the licencing part is the GE.EXE, and it is not a Win 16/32 file, so cannot be loaded into any Windows decompiler.

I guess that GE.EXE is Barcrests own software, although what language it is coded in remains to be seen. Nothing I've ever seen before, thats for sure.

I have not tackled 777 yet, but have managed to downconvert a B3 to section 16 with pots and in door closed mode, was a lot of work!! Especially getting the game to run and converting the MPU5 program card!

Can you get games working that was binned off? Monty and Max Million were both great, but neither converted to b3. Well, Monty was but we lost the pots for that knight feature!

Also, can you look into having two terminals and having linked pots? That's what made them so good in my eyes. Seeing 2/3 linked, all getting rowed and pots rapid climbing.

Good work as always though mate :)

I have not tried linking 2 together at the moment, not sure what the rules are these days for linked pots if run in a arcade, I know its legal to now run S16 machines but no idea on linked pots! If anyone knows the rules on it then do let me know!!

The trouble is getting hold of even bits of the old s16 programs! Loading B3 over the top deleted the s16 folders and of course windows then writes over the space making file recovery impossible! elvis was only possible due to a bpak being found on a old memory stick barcrest sent out but was never used on a machine and was discovered years later by a different arcade owner slipped down behind things in the building! but I can't release it as been swarn to secrecy with it! (that's how i got it)

So it needs some files to surface or bits of it before I can do other lost games like S16 rainbow riches
