Hi Nails
you are correct! also the mpu5 program card has different software in it to the B3 machines which is also not available anywhere! I had to painstakingly extract the flash chips from a s16 program card, read them and recreate a file to be able to program other cards, but unless the bootloader is version 1.16 will still be no joy as b3 ones have bootloader 1.21
also like you say bpaks are not available anywhere! cost me abit to get the files I have! still missing for S16 rainbow riches and cashino

iv spoke to a couple of company s and most of them are scared to sell to the public but if you have a machine get a permit it only cost £25 and most will play ball for example http://www.amgsales.co.uk/and they sell amazing machine including rainbow riches B3 rio for £295 check them out but you need a license or permit to buy from them.

That's incorrect, there is absolutely no requirement to get any sort of permit or license in order to buy a fruit machine intended for personal use.

well, not entirely correct...
trade will not sell to the public without a PL or PML license. this goes for redemption, cat d ,c, b4 b3 b3a the whole lot. the likes of Crown, RLMS and AMG wont entertain you, but JNC would.
if they dont have your machine in stock and your willing to pay top whack, they will order you what you want. triple 8 goes up to £9k +vat this year - totally overpriced.
that said, you do get the odd company selling off old stock that like you to sign a disclaimer, though i think its more advertising to cover themselves, rather than the legal side.
as to what FM500 said, companies dont want big brother doing mystery shops etc as the commission could strip them of their license to trade.
