Hi all,

Just dumped a load of ROMs I acquired a while ago that have no labels.  If anyone's able to identify any of them please post here :)

From the batch they came from I'm guessing at least some will be MPU5, but they could be from anything (even quiz machines)

Thanks

Some of them are 16 bit ROMs and need to be paired with another ROM. In the first few I can see ascii strings like Bl ri Gms which when interleaved with another ROM I believe would spell Bell Fruit Games.

No idea what tech, but 16 bit (needs roms interleaved), & BFM narrows it down to either Scorp4, Scorp5, or maybe a late cobra (SWP) game.

Looking at some of the patterns in some of the ROMs I would guess some are sound ROMs rather than game.

ROM 12 has this in it, and data in the reset vector area so I would assume it's an atari console game.

Another way to identify would be to run a CRC on the ROMs and compare to known checksums in MAME.

Snd 1 and Snd 2 are a complete set of sound ROMs for a machine.

They are OKI chip, and Barcrest sounds, but I can't identify the specific machine, there's a lot of samples in the ROM that I recognize from multiple machines. Its late barcrest too, from the genesis cab era.

Looking at this now & seeing mention to Midway i got a feeling it's a game called Gauntlet Legends.

Edit: Comparing it Against the 1.2 & 1.6 versions show a bit of difference between them both, but release scales add up. Could be from Area 51 Maximum Force but that's not a Midway game.

These will be extremely difficult to identify, especially if any of these are previously undumped.

Those theme-specific feature names will surely narrow it down to 100 or so  ;)
