I have a coronation street club fruit machine and i was in test mode so i could empty the tubes. The tube started emptying by holding the appropriate hold button then all of a sudden it stopped.None of the hold buttons were triggering to release coins. The hold buttons lit as i pressed them but no coins released.I then thought maybe a coin jam so went in the back while still in test mode and pulled the spring to release a coin from the tube. This is when the machine done a noise sort of the same noise as when you switch the machine on & all the lights went out.Now the machine will switch on but all that happens mis the odd light will blink in various places (seems to be near the number reel ,the odd other reel, the cancel button.
1 thing i noticed is that the motherboard has 6 red LED lights going down and 3 across ,all light up when switching the machine on except the centre LED of the 3 (the 6 light up but the 3 leds on 2 do)
I'm sure somebody out there knows the problem from experience but me being totally clueless needs help from those in the know.So i would appreciate the help very much.
Thanks
Jazz

hello mate
you have a blown fuse on the power supply.
the led on the motherboard that doesn't come on should say something like +5,-12 or +12 volts.
look at the powersupply and under each fuse holder it will have the corresponding +5,+12 or - 12 volts, one of these will be blown but i would check them all.

Wait another 6 weeks and i'll quote this one too.....
This is a FME site, and a person who has been a member for over a year makes 2 threads on the same subject of his own real fruit machine not even a mention of Emulation. That's not to say that real machines are not discussed. of course they are....But this is a little rich isn't it?, e.g how many new layouts in the past 2 months--a fair few and not even One basic....Yeah thats good well done, now MY machine!!!!
A valid point?

Yes looks very familiar and very different too which is why it is a different question with a different problem.
And thanks bazpeeb for an answer and not a comment.

Yeah, it is a valid point, but unfortunately so few users here actively post, and at least it wasn't a request for Party Time

Try the contact us section at http://madness.fruit...co.uk/index.php that may be worth a try, they specialise in emulation M1a/b machines and may have more imformation relative to your machine.

I dunno. To me it looked like he asked an intelligent question, just needing some help? Not really sure why he is being slagged off, but ah well.

i did read it the whole post.
it just seemed like he asked a well detailed technical question about a real fruit machine and then got a response that got on his back about not giving some sort of kudos to the site before asking a question.

its just that this is the only forum that i am part of that seems to get annoyed about people asking questions(i fully respect the asking for partytimes and new machines arguement as it does say it on the homepage)

Ok, I'll give a post-drinking reply, seeing as how I've just come back from the pub after a darts and beer session.
As I've had quite a bit to drink, maybe I will wake up and feel differently, but who knows
Basically, Ady pointed out something totally valid about this user, and I agree with him, although I probably wouldn't have pointed it out.
1) The user has been a member of this site since April 29th 2004. That is basically a year ago.
2) In that time, they have not once commented on any use of the site, be it layouts people have spent time on, or any other discussions.
3) Now that they have a problem on their machine, they finally post, I mean how difficult is it, in 11 months, to post once to show their gratitude for a site?
I'm just saying what I feel like at this moment in time, and at this moment in time I've come home after quite a lot of beer. I reckon this is the same way that Ady feels [albeit without the beer hopefully ], and feel free to disagree with me entirely.
Nothing against people joining here and asking questions about machines, but to join up 11 months ago and only post when you need help is a little bit of a pi**take.
Just my opinion. Still, seeing as how you have gone to the trouble of getting a bandit, I hope your problem gets sorted out.

i have been a member for a short period of time and as of yet have not downloaded a single layout so does that mean i still have to congratulate people on how good the site is before i ask a technical question.
i have been an engineer for nearly 12 years and would stick my neck out to help anyone who needs a hand in fixing a bandit but i dont ask them to say oh you really are a good engineer before i fix it.
fair enough it is true that you say that the makers of the site deserve respect for the site but no one should demand it or get on someones back if they dont give within a certain time period.

I was writing an essay type post based on everything said, but to be honest it wouldn't prove anything so I've decided not to
Suffice to say you (baz) are a valuable and respected member of the site, who has proved to be very helpful to many people. I just wish that some users would come out and post and be more respectful.
Thats all.
