i have just bought a rio cabinet with a few demo games on and a non demo monty python £35 jackpot ..... im not very happy as i honestly thought i was buying a machine with monty python £500 jackpot :/ ...

what im getting to is inside where it says what game is installed it says monty python b3 on the sticker??? but when i try too play it in non demo mode i get error 15 ... can any one please help

 

 

p.s it also came without a note acceptor , which pissed me off aswell :/ .... are they easy to aquire and fit

Someone must've swapped over your Monty Python chip from 500 to 35.. Happens sometimes.
Note acceptors are generally easy to acquire but a tad more difficult to set up to a novice.. Can you take a picture of the inside of your front door.. Where the note acceptor should go.. I need to see he fittigs.

obtaining a note acceptor is easy. as to why somebody would remove it is to me - commercial suicide. these machine can take a lot of money, but not without a note acceptor. 

 

this may explain however why its only the £35 jackpot version.  piss poor really. 

 

since the yellow ribbon cable is long, it rules out an nv10/11. could be a jcm? there is an absence of a plinth for it to sit on which also pretty much rules out any NV note acceptor i think. are their any other cables present ?

The yellow connector is for the LED board that has the "arrow" LEDS for the note acceptor  I cant actually see any loom for the note mech on those pics.

no, cant see a loom either. basically you need a note acceptor and loom for a barcrest rio. hardest part would be fitting it. if your a newbie and cannot find anybody to help, i would suggest selling it and buying a £500 version.

Best bet for a the note acceptor is to get a full kit from a company that will help you with installation. Otherwise you could end up messing about with various dubious bits off Ebay for weeks!

so i think i just need the note acceptor now
