Felt like starting up another poll, always good to get some debate and disussion of machines started :)

Anyway, I am looking for 10 [if possible] machines to include in the list for the poll. If I put 10 in there myself no doubt only 3 of them would get votes and there would be loads of requests to change machines and stuff and it all gets a bit messy :)

So, I'd like people to nominate machines to me, that they would be willing to vote on. Once I've got some nominations in, I'll open the poll. If I get say 3 nominations, I'll either cancel the poll or will add machines to the list myself - but if it comes to that - no complaining because your favourite machine isn't there!

NOMINATIONS WILL BE ADDED TO THIS THREAD AS THEY ARE SUBMITTED!

Let the nominations begin :)

BTW, when you've nominated a machine, make sure you come back and vote for it once the poll is up!

I'll get the ball rolling, I nominate Cluedo SWP, JPM [all versions].

[hr:acc1da305a]

Nominations :

1) Cluedo [All versions, JPM]
2) Monopoly [All versions, JPM]
3) Bullseye
4) Crystal Maze [All versions, Barcrest]

7) Who Wants to be a Millionaire [inc Linked Jackpot version, JPM]
8) Hangman [JPM]

12) Radio Times [BFM]

does silent scope EX (fortune hunter) count as a SWP? You have to shoot the targets that appear and you get money for them, then at the end you have one shot to play for the pot. very rarely win on it but its still a lot of fun to play.

Bullseye is certainly very playable! What about Mousetrap which seems to be the easiest to win money on?

Also does Crystal Maze count? Had many happy hours playing that!

Cheers for pointing it out, I'll sort it out in a second. When you say Standard and Deluxe, would it be acceptable to have them both as the same choice, only using 1 position - or are they different games?

One position would be fine, just make sure you add all versions like you did for cluedo.

Gotta go for the old crystal maze myself, remember in the crystal dome once, me and my mates had all the time possible, and ended up grabbing every single bloody gold and silver note, not knowing silver's were bad, lol

Crystal maze, Bullseye & hangman spring to mind

Does that bingo machine count ? the one where you have to either accept or reject the balls. A good test of reflexes best played sober...

Theres also a new free kick game by Sega. you can get you're quid back pretty easily but tricky to ever win anymore.

at skill pool game is good, (Believe it or not) I won £20 quid on it the other day. This is the machine where you have to double the white at the end.

Also Zillionaires challenge and all it's old barcrest forms. This is the game where you have to see what was the last card to turn over.

Give us a break swp, you had to answer questions on a red ball for 1 point then choose a colour to build up a decent break to win £10 jp. :D

Ok, I've noticed that machines seem to be coming up which I understand to be AWPs [normal fruit machines] rather than SWPs [Trivia machines, Skill based machines [like the Crystal Maze ones].

Just SWPs please :)

My choice is deffo SWP it was based on the radio 1 game.

Give Us A Break

Based on Give Us A Break as used by DJ Dave Lee Travis which in turn was based on snooker.

The Pub Quiz arcade machine was a general knowledge quiz and didn't have much to do with snooker.

The questions were quite difficult and required an element of knowledge but the players were often people who had spent their whole lives avoiding education! Those with a grammar school up-bringing would play the game late on Sunday or on Monday, when there was a bigger bounty to be won.

Can't believe no-one has mentioned Strike it Rich, what a machine!
All this required was few mates to memorise 2 or 3 positions on the end feature to guarantee anything between £5 and £40. Could be such easy money at times!!
