Signed up for a few in the week to grab some free bonuses, decided to deposit a tenna and had a few good results.

Withdrew £250 in the end, but taking that as beginners luck so will stay level headed.

Anyways a few things i noticed is.....

Why, sometimes, do spins take ages to stop compared to a normal spin?

Whats the point of the spin button also being a stop button on some slots, is it meant as a skill thing or just a quick way to see the outcome of that spin?.

Some spins take longer because there is sometimes a delay in the game server responding to the client's request for the result of the spin.  Therefore the reels keep spinning around until the answer is given.

The SPIN button becoming a STOP button is to allow the player to see the result quickly and bypass the landing of the reels.  It will typically become available after 2 or 3 seconds into the spin, or whatever the minimum game time is in that particular jurisdiction.  The illusion of 'skill' is a side-effect of this, and for that reason (and others) some jurisdictions don't allow it.

Hi Jay

The delay with the spin is more likely to be the speed of yr net at that time-I often get varied slot speeds dependent upon the time of the day!

The stop/spin button is designed to give the user freedom to stop the reels quicker-I real don't believe though that whether u stop the reels or simply spin them, that the outcome would be any different.

Connection will play a part (theirs as well don't forget) but sometimes it will  be the server verifying everything is fine with the client, balance is as it should be etc.

Funny you should say that Matty, im just playing wizard of oz on demo play, twice now ive had the 3 feature icons spin in, chose one then it gets stuck on loading the feature.

So the first time it happened,  i closed the game and reloaded it, it started with the 3 feature icons and i had to choose again which gave a different outcome(instant win) was originally the winged summat feature.

The second time i did the same but no feature was given, now this was in demo play, what if i was playing for real cash?

Tis worrying that things can go wrong.

If you look somewhere in the game Jay there will be a number, say, 00224444333.

That means the wager you set has been played against the outcome of that spin.

So if connection is lost in real-play once you re-connect it will register that that's an unfinished game.

Once I closed my browser seeing it was a losing spin, a few day's later when I went back in it said something like "game not completed"...I had to spin with the same outcome to allow me to continue.

Online National Lottery scratchcards is a good example too...so don't worry mate.

I avoid online slot bonuses as much as I can. Ladbrokes denied me £540 because they say I signed up for a £250 welcome bonus that has to be reinvested more times than I can remember. they eventually agreed that because I had played before I could forfeit my £250, refund my initial £50 stake and carry on as per normal.

`luckily` I walked away almost double my start money, but I could have in theory had £50,000 in the bank and they wouldn't let me touch it until I had invested the lot.

Talking of online gaming...

...Since Jackpot Party closed its doors last year I have stayed at Unibet casino where I have been a member longer than I was at Jackpot Party!

Anyway they sent me an email with a 50% match bonus so I deposited £20 (the most I will spend on a casino in a month is £50 ( if I don't win ;) ).

So - to cut a long story short I started to play through my bonus and within about 6 spins of the playthrough (x20) I got this: ;)

Attached File  WP_20150502_01_58_34_Pro.jpg   155.22KB   2 downloads

...Followed by towards the end of the playthrough, and keeping an even balance, I upped the stake to finish the playthrough off and keep any profit I made and this dropped in! :D

Attached File  WP_20150502_02_54_29_Pro.jpg   115.36KB   2 downloads

Suffice to say - out of a balance of £1,503.46 at the end of the playthrough, I withdrew £1,300.00 to my Visa debit card and it'll be in the bank for Tuesday or Wednesday - just for £20!

Happy days! :)

Yeah nails you have to wager so many times before you can withdraw, at one point i had over 500 balance , went in to wihdraw but nothing available.

So i kept playing and after every time a decent win span in i went into wihdrawals until eventually it showed i had over 300 i could withdraw.

Wow you jammy fecka lol, nice wins there m8.

So had an email earlier with a 400% bonus and 50 free spins, got the 400%

Im guessing the 50 free spins is the "play money" tab so cant win from them???

My mate won 7k once  but by the time he had wagered the required amount there was nothing left.

On the other side of the coin my other mate  won £18k  and some change and hadn't taken the bonus and collected  the 18k and never went back to that one !  lol  that's the way to do it.

Overall its best NOT to take the bonuses as your making it even more in there favour for them to win even when you do !

Eg  Bonuses are a way of protecting themselves from an early big win, if you win big and early you cant cash, therefore minimising their risk.

If you don't then any small win you do get would be normally lost before you get near to the requirement to cash.

However if its just the extended gameplay that a bonus offers you that you want then go for it...... if not  opt out of them is usually the best way.

Thats not always the case though is it?

I made £250 from an initial outlay of a tenna plus bonus , and Stardust made much, much  more lol.

Of course you have to be level headed and know your limits and never believe you will win every time.

Yes the bonus can prolong the agony lol but you can, now and then, profit from them too.

I hardly play the casino sites, as said before I play the likes of costabingo and clones of. because they offer regular %bonuses min 50% and you can win from them regardless of wagering amounts. So say I put £20 on '150% I have £20 cash of which I play slots and a bit of bingo, then if I've lost that its onto the bonus funds £30 bingo play only, but if you win at bingo and then play slots and win say £300 straight away you can withdraw and only lose your remaining bingo bonus funds

they have a 500% for new customers at the moment to so plenty of chance to easily get you money back on £20

Demo play is different to real play. Demo play tends not to remember what the outcome would have been. Whereas real play would. Most sites you can close during a bonus, reload the client & it will restart the bonus & do exactly as it did before & was due to pay out. Each spin is given a unique number so if that spin is supposed to pay 10x stake, it will pay 10x stake.

Good win on oz but totally shit on the rest it really annoys me when they do this on slots far too easy to not check bets and lose it all which is what they want of course.

To be honest I had noticed a lot of casinos that do this (Skill-On-Net) and the slot layouts make it look very confusing...

...I avoid them like the plague - and I personally believe that the Gambling Commission should make all the casinos within the UK online start their slots off with the minimum stake on maximum lines... and then you can work your own way up - should you want too.

The good thing about Unibet is that they do just this - I won't play on those casinos at all that start you off on less than the minimum bet!
