Ive just ended up paying for donation twice just to try and get access to download more than my quota because the page said it was instant, but of course it needs to be verified. Very misleading...

Apologies for that, it used to be fully automated but there's been an issue with the PayPal interface for a while.
I will look at changing the wording.
When I'm on a proper computer I'll upgrade your membership accordingly.

I've just had the same problem, nearly paid twice, but held back once I saw this. Any chance you can get my account sorted. Paypal payment went through.

Although the PayPal payment went through it unfortunately failed to automatically update your account.
It was difficult to then identify your payment due to the name on the payment having no similarity to the details on the site account, neither were the emails similar. So I struggled to immediately upgrade manually.
However your account was still successfully upgraded within 20 minutes.
