Yes it does work, it will ONLY run in mfme 2.1  or 3.2 , if running in 3.2, you can resale the layout so it will fit on your screen(if you are using a laptop)

also try     file/preferences and check the auto throttle tab. in 3.2 if it doesn't appear to run.

Thanks. Auto throttle seemed to fix the sound issues too. Much appreciated hitthesix

You can't, that's the on-off alarm.  If the machine goes on and off within a certain timespan the machine alarms, it's an anti-tamper measure.

Try this in file/ preferences

set the cpu speed to 99999999

dotm speed to 99999999

check auto throttle and set to "fastest"

reload the game, it should now read " error 403 please wait"

game should run in about twenty seconds.

then slow the speed down .and slide the auto throttle to suit.

 

next time you load the game you will probably get "error 403" it will clear in about twenty seconds.
