Hello i just got a DOND RedHot £100 Jackpot machine but when you turn it on it alarms out. Iv opening the front and re-floating it but nothing changed its displays 3 alarms codes. Its on a scorpion 5 board but when i try to go to test mode when you press the button it just adds credit to demo mode. the codes are (Hopper np A3) (Coin Mech np A1) (Coin Mech err 10) can anyone help?

i did ring them but the repair guy is on holiday so i thought there might be someone here who know anything it may be a quick fix

first thing you need to do is go through the errors. coin mech speaks for itself and my best guess is that something has come loose in transit (Project coin machines like 777 heaven were the worst!)

its highly likely the a lead has come loose or a coin has got stuck due to the mech moving while being delivered to your house. likewise the hopper. check everything is in place, remove the MPU cover and see the the program card and all the leads are seated correctly.

i checked the board all wires are secure and fully plugged in but i just put the refill key in and tryed to do a hopper dump and nothing happened the screen says no coin in hopper. theres a red led on the hopper but is not lit up but the coin mech led is lit up no damage to the wires and all are connected

try doing a hard reset. there is a way to do a hard reset but i cannot thing off had. try powering up without the program card, then turn off and re-insert.

 

when you powerup now it should have flushed its error.

Try pressing the test  twice in quick succession to go into test mode.

 

 

Also looks like its a serial mech etc  they can be a right pain.

that means its a des encryption coin mech, and hopper. they need to be paired. you should have a grey, three holed hopper motor and a yellow mars mech.
on the mars coin mech at the front there is a set of 8 white dip switches. ensure machine is turned off and put on switches 1,2,3,5,6 on the coin mech. turn machine on and wait for it to say 'read meters'.. then when it does turn off switch 6 on the coin mech. when you switch off switch 6 on the coin mech, the coloured led on the front should change from orange to green. this is now paired.
turn off machine again. remove the hopper unit and turn the whole thing upside down. this activates a mercury switch which should pair the hopper.the hopper needs to be upside down for around 10 seconds. then turn it back upright and turn the machine on. you need to turn the machine on as soon as you retunr the hopper back to normal. you may need to try this a few times. it will eventually stop the hopper np alarm. the coin mech np will be gone from coin mech jnstructions from above

This wont go into test mode that way.

 

you need to press test mode button and the hopper refill button on side of hopper in quick succession to get into test mode. (with both doors open)

Hi, how did you resolve this please as I have the same issue since I moved the machine into the conservatory for my son as it was a xmas pressie :-(. I have checked wiring and hoppers are clear.
