every time i turn on my deal or no deal i get a Pay Unit 17 error i  have checked the hopper works fine in another machine and the note accpetor is also not working too but checked that in a another machine works fine. Power supply works fine what is coursing the hopper and note accpetor to fail.

 

Can i just get another scorpian 5 bored to fix the problem any help need soon think you

Need to check that there's 24 volt supply getting to the hopper.

Yes i have 24v to the hopper and hopper borad

checked the hopper again the hopper has no voltage going to it and the small board next the hopper does not have voltage too I checked the power supply it does give 24v

I have power to hopper and hopper works fine in another machine the power supply has be checked works fine but the main board will not let the note acceptor work too.

 

anything works in the machine then the hopper and note acceptor what is causes this any help ?​

yes the fuses have been checked and are fine

I have ordered I new scorpion 5 board for the machine from the start of the fault but the board still works for everything else

With a scorpion 5 board, the pay link on the cctalk line goes from board>coin mech>hopper>note acceptor > board and communicates in that fashion. If there is no hopper attached, pay unit error, if there is no note acceptor and dip switch 8 is still on, pay unit error, if there is no coin mech attached or paired, pay unit error. Basically, you will get a pay unit error if one of the peripherals are not connected and if it is DES enabled, will need pairing.

I can see I'm going to be explaining DES a lot more nowadays because it is appearing on more and more home machines nowadays.

Hi have this same problem on deal or no deal
Saw clear sign of battery leakage had replacement board from eBay still have pay unit error 17 every time turn machine on have cleared error but comes back

How do I put this machine in test both doors open press test button anything else I need to do
