evening  folks  , well now  that  we  have  christmas  well and  truly  over  and  done  with  ive  had  chance  to  gather  momentum  for  my next  project . ive  been  looking  forward  to  this  project  for  a  quite  a while now  and  have  wanted  to  own  one  of these  machines for  a  long  time  but  got  frustrated  that  non seem  to  surface  . so  the  next  option is to  build  one  and  like  previous  projects  ive  been  very  fortunate  to  pick up  the  required   items  like  glasses  /reeldeck/rom cart  /spare  cab etc to  make  one  up .so  here  goes  another  thread  and  i hope  you  like  what  you  see . . ive  only  just  made  a  start stripping the  donor  cab  so  not  too many  pics  to  start with and  it  will take  a  few  months  so  bare  with  me  .

DSCN1040.JPGDSCN1041.JPG - here  is  what  the  machine  will look like  !

DSCN1057.JPG the  donor  cab  . its  a  foreign  overseas  machine  but  externally  identical  . i few  tweaks  will be  made  internally  but  more  of  that  as  the  project  progresses  .

DSCN1046.JPGDSCN1053.JPGDSCN1047.JPGDSCN1050.JPG these  pics  show  what  what  i picked  up from a  scrapped  ss machine  . they  had  been  with a  showman and  had  been  stored  outside  .

DSCN1062.JPG the  corner  edges of the frames  on my  donor  cab  are  quite  good  so  will use  these along  with  the  rest  of the  frames. the  reason i mention them is  that  barcrest  at  this  time  didnt  paint the   frames of  thier  machines  . the  corners  were  either  cromed or  zinct  and  this  quite  often  peels  off  so  will have  them looked  at  in the  next  few  weeks  .

DSCN1074.JPGDSCN1058.JPG the  general  state  of the  donor  cab is  very good

DSCN1101.JPGDSCN1102.JPGDSCN1103.JPGDSCN1128.JPGshowing the  donor  cab   stripped  out  ready  for  restoration .

DSCN1132.JPG just  a  slight  chip out  of the  inner  door  base area  which will be  repaired  fairly  easily  .

DSCN1135.JPGDSCN1136.JPG the  first  job will be  to  rebuild  the  base  which im getting  very use to  by now  ! as  can be  seen the  back has  been  looked  at  by the previous  owner but the  side s  still need  to  be  done  !

DSCN1139.JPG i will put  new  foortread  rubber  on the  kick step .
