Well, thought I'd make my last post a useful one!

This is the official leaflet from BACTA in association with Gamcare, it is for people that think they may have lost control of their gambling, and what they can do.

I've basically scanned the pages from the leaflet, I'm sure BACTA and Gamcare won't mind as it is freely distributed, and it the sort of thing people should be aware of.

It is a 4 page document, filenames being Control1 > Control4 :)

If this proves useful to anyone, and they don't mind admitting on here that they've tried the service, I think it'd be nice to let us know how they get on :)

I see BACTA got a little ad for the industry in there: "Playing slot machines is an attractive way of taking a risk......" ;).

Where did you pick that up Ben?

Quicksilver in Peterborough, I wanted to see that poster that claimed machines had a percentage over 92%, but forgot my phone so couldn't get a pic.

Thought I'd pick one of those up :)

I went into New Horizon down the road, with £2.50 I had left over from lunch, put it into a Party Time Slotto and won £200.50... I'm just glad I made it to the bank, must be a first for me - being up by loads and not ploughing into something else :)

Anyway, thats machine playing for me totally finito now. Can't be bothered blowing that £200 which has made a great difference to my life [i.e told Argos to shove their store card where the sun don't shine :)], and I know how bad those machines can be. I've put £40 in one before in about 40 seconds!

Make this one my last post definately...100%....no more posting from me until June!

Not much use if they are not available for people to pick up to read..
Maybe all fruities should have them supplied with them.
[edit] often spent last pound...
also does a self destructive act include feeling like I want to do something illegal that would result in jail time.... I often dream about doing thatt to the c*&t that ripped me off fruity wise......

I not sure whether you have noticed, but on some fruit machines there is small rectangular box near the coin entrance which gives info about gambling problems, it also has a phone number to call. This add was provided by gamcare.

I know the adds are on Barcrest machines. Any others?

I think we need to get help from somewhere else

We can do quiting any of those things on our own without help :D

Yeah, originally it was gonna be 'goodbye FE, and get some revision done'. IT turned out to be 'f***it, I'll stick about and not revise', hence me now working at Currys and doing some study at nights :)

I guess i'm not the only one who bought a my own fruit machine, not just for a play at home but in the hope it would stop me playing them when i was out. It hasn't completely but i have cut down. Has anyone else owning a fruit machine helped with their addiction?

I think in total ive had about 7 machines over the years. they all helped for a while... BUT
DO
YOU
KNOW
WHAT REALLY HELPED
MORE THAN
OWNING MY
OWN
MACHINE ?????
f*****g FRUIT-EMU , what a cracker..
now i get to play all my fav machines, all my old time classics, and a number of machines which look shit? which i would normally waste my money in? but hey what the hell? nothing ventured nothing gained?? or whould that be nothing put in nothing lost?
Yes i still play from time to time, yesterday i went into stardust?? £15 in coins? that was my lot, no more, not a penny more, no changing notes,
what did i do, changes another £30, what a prick i thought, waiting for the wife to ring me and go for a coffee/ at this rate i wouldnt be able to afford a coffee as we were going to starbucks ( another bloody rip off place, worse than any arcade ) , had £4 left, put it in casino 7 like the big 7's just in large cases, won £9. thought great, just about pay for my drinks??? yes i know i didnt leave, i put that in aswell, BUT then bonus nudges brought in £25, next £1 in held after nudge £5 in, last pound in £2 dropped straight in held, then bonus nudge again, another £25, cashed in quickly, and walked out £12 up.
thewww that was close,
