ok so I have messaged the seller and I am having hassle sorting this because someone hit the BIN button and due to EBay rules he has to let that person have them.

 

I am trying to sort this with him and hopefully can still collect these tomorrow morning

If Phil (chasnbons) messages the seller to say that you're picking them up on his behalf then all should be fine?

Sorry guys only just got in had a disaster of a day. Its fine for samson to collect them. I m on tablet so struggling with bad internet. Will get on pc in morning and hopefully have a better connection.

Once again, really sorry for not being in touch till late last night, but had the day from hell.

 

The brake on my scooter broke, which meant it wouldn't move and was stranded for 3 hours waiting to be picked up and taken to have it repaired.  Left it with the mechanic bloke and I couldn't go get it till 9pm last night as he was going out.

 

Anyway in the meantime I had no internet at home so couldn't get on here, using my phone as a wifi hotspot on the tablet is worse than useless and I gave up trying.  I eventually managed to get on here late last night (on tablet as still no internet at home) and managed to send a pm and post on here before it cut out again.

 

Anyway it looks like Samson has managed to sort it out with the seller thankfully

You said on here that you were waiting for the seller to get back to you, so I clicked BIN and paid, so that someone who was not from here didn't buy them meaning that we'd lose out.  I messaged the seller straight away and he replied with the message I posted earlier.  I then asked him if it was either Matty or anyone else from here (if so then it was fine for them to collect the items) and he replied saying no, it was just someone local to him, which made me think it was a good job that I'd bought them as we would have lost them.

 

He sent me a message late last night saying that it was Samson who was collecting them, so it looks like everything has worked out in the end thankfully

Update, I have collected these now, quite a few reel bands and he also said he has loads of reels bands about and will sort after Xmas as he is very busy.

Can I ask what happens to the reel bands when they have all been scanned?

 

I ask because if they are just going to be stuck in a drawer or cupboard etc, it might be an idea to send them on to Martin (Mavroz) as he has a large collection of physical resources and it might be a safer way of making sure they don't get lost at some point.

ok so i have cleaned the reel bands as some was really dirty and i have taken photo's so you can see what is there,

 

The glasses i havent had a good look at the yet but about half of them are in a really bad condition but i will have a better look at them all in the next few days and will try take some proper pictures of them and shre so you can see and decide.

A proper global reelband woohoo! And isn't the 1st band in the 2nd picture one another global number reel? Seem to recognise the font but can't place it
