Hi All,

 

i decided against using the software the old repo used as i dont have time to manage two sites. for now i am carrying on with the FmeDB although it will take time to populate it will be far more beneficial to the scene as we can pull lists from it for example what machines need layouts, what machines we are missing roms for, what machines we have flyers for etc. (see attached pdf for example).

 

really need more people to help populating though as honestly im beginning to burn out, if it wasn't for Andy-1 (Huge thanks) helping i would have stopped by now. 

 

i will begin uploading flyers at the end of the month as i have a week off coming up.

 

Note: the attached pdf is not accurate as the files are not on the fmedb, which is why the more people helping out getting files uploaded the sooner we can get a list of what we need as a scene.

Glad to have helped ross.

 

As ross says if you have any images of machines, flyers  glass scans, or anything like that it would be beneficial to layout creators for reference.

looking to get all flyers 'we' have (has anyone got an archive of the old repro?), i have been scanning my flyers over the last year and am almost done. if anyone has any flyer scans they can send me can you please pm me.

 

im looking to create a torrent for all of them and to add them to the fmedb.

Bump, still looking for people to help populate (still just me and andy).

Hi All,

 

firstly thanks to the members that have signed up recently welcome to the fmedb .

 

secondly,im trying to get a list of cabinet names so they can be a searchable attribute for machines. could anyone who knows any that are not in the screen shot attach a image with the name of the cab please.

Just to confirm, this has now been closed. Thanks to all that helped, it might return in the future if i find myself with more time but for now it will remain closed.

I'm sorry I didn't commit anywhere near as much time as I would have like to the project.

 

I tended to get carried away on other things FME wise.

 

The only thing I will say, is that I did find it to be quite cumbersome to upload stuff, but I guess that is part of keeping everything extremely tightly controlled so things aren't out of place.

Hi All,

 

So, i have decided to open up the site again ( http://www.fmedb.com/fmedb/). i still dont have alot of free time to populate but it is what it is, it will no doubt take a few more years yet but we will get there one day.

 

i have recently added the "Arcade", this will allow any user to create their own arcade and or play others:

 

 

you can play layouts after other users have played (if the machine is being played, the machine will be locked for upto an hour or when the user uploads the new gam and ram files) or you could create your own.

 

Create Arcade:

Go to user profile > my arcade > input a name for your arcade and click save. then click "Go To My Arcade" button you go to your arcade.

 

Add Machine:

1. Click the "Add Machine" image > Populate the "Machine UID" value (this can be found by searching for the machine then making a note of the number in the url (See screenshot)

 

2. You need to have a zip that only contains the ".gam" and ".ram" file in and select.

3. Select a screenshot image

4. Paste in a url link to the download of the layout.

5. Hit Submit.

 

The site will be live from 8pm tonight, i will be starting to upload my un released stuff in into the arcade from December.
