Thanks for reading this post, I've spent many hours trying to solve the following issue, even purchased membership here for the MPU5 Manual, however, Im now really stuck and need help.

 

The machine is currently set as the following:

Barcrest: Smash Martians (MPU5)

£0.30 Pence Per Play

£25.00 Jackpot

1 Dipswitch Prize/Stake Key

1 Fixed Percentage Key at 70%

 

Im wanting to change the machine to the following settings:

£0.5 Pence Per Play

£5.00 Jackpot

 

However, I've followed tons of configurations regarding the Dipswitch Prize/Stake Key however I always get "Invalid Key", I've seen on a few posts here a few members talking about the ROMS, possibly hard coded into the ROMS? If so how is this changed? This is a machine I've purchased for my soon to be games room.

Minimum on the software will probably be about 20p play. it depends what software the roms contain.

If you're lucky, it MIGHT do 10p £5, but I would imagine anything else will bring up the same error as the software won't support it.  If it won't do 10p £5 then you're stick with £25 jp.

 

Oh and if this is a home machine on 70% pay out, I bet it's as dead as a Dodo most of the time.

00011000 (£5/10p)

00010000 (£5/5p)

 

If they dont work then your software does not support £5 Jackpot and will need to find another set of roms somewhere.

You will need the correct roms, if they exist, and then the correct blank chips, and someone to burn them for you.

Hi my barcrest fruity is set to 10p £5 i have switches 1and 8 on everything else off try that see hoe u get on ok.. Do u have a refill key key on ur machine ?
