also, is there a way of clicking and dragging the lamps or can you just use the X/Y axis number

Hold the shift key (might have to be left shift, it might be ok to use right shift) in edit mode and you can move and resize things with the mouse left button.

Hold the shift key and right click to autosize lamps. This will only work if you click the lit area of the lamp, and if the artwork was designed correctly to make it work. Simpsons needs sorting out, Casino Crazy works ok from what I remember if you want to test this.

If you look at LampsMapx.png (Where x is a number) you can see the lamp areas. If there isn't at least 1 black pixel between each lamp then autosize will work incorrectly. But even if you still have to do some manually it's far far quicker.

If you look at LampsMap0.png in the simpsons layout (extract it first by running it) then you will see the lamp areas are not clearly defined.

This is why the emulator requires that artwork is resized and then lamped, not the other way around. Otherwise the resizing algorithm destroys the detection as the colours no longer match exactly in each picture.

Hold the control key and you can left click machine buttons or insert coin from within edit mode.

Trouble is lappy apparently needs a new graphics card how do you get one and or install it? Do you need to take the computer apart? Or is it a program you need?
If all else fails maybe a new lappy needed around Xmas!

You need a new laptop, or better yet a pc. PC is cheaper, more powerful, easier and cheaper to repair or upgrade. And you can buy smaller cases if space is really an issue.

Edit: Having said that, what laptop have you got, some, although very few can be upgraded gfx card wise.

This is the actual redistributable you need.

Those redistributables are for Visual Studio 2010. This is built in VS2012.

What does "Missing shader file .../components/texture.vs error" mean? I know it's in the components directory but where does it need to go? I can otherwise get the release32 running if I can fix this, please reply ASAP before 10:30.

I've got an 8.1 windows, and I'm getting errors on both 32 & 64 :(

On the 32 i've got a Direct X could not initialize error, but I've checked and IT IS up to date,

and on the 64 I've got an 0cx000007b error? it's megaly frustrating lol as i've waited for this

Maybe a new computer IS needed :( grr lol

Thank you for the amber 2 , I have had quite a few errors but I'm down to just 1 now , anyone knows what this error means and what I need to download to correct the problem please,

d3dx10_43.dll...is missing from your computer

I'm on windows 10

if you get the d3dx10_43.dll missing error, then the fix is to install the DirectX11 SDK.

If you just copy accross the missing file it will not work and you will get cannot find shader error.
