You won't get it to work online as it doesn't play online yet only offline, if you've gotten that far then fair play a lot further than most on here goodluck!

There is help for this for a number of issues - if you take time to search...

 

Read the beginning of this thread you've posted in here - you'll find various troubleshoot work throughs and updates to get it running -and if it doesn't after all that... Then you need a new PC!

 

When I was a Moderator here, you were always the same - you never searched for anything and expected everyone to do it for you, instead of looking for the info that is already there if you take the time to read through!

 

I have dementia as you know and it has taken me just two minutes to get this info for you... 

 

Good luck in getting it running by the way - you'll probably need it, as I did too!

Because people have lives off here and most probably have far more important things to do that wipe your @rse for you.

 

You also might have better luck in getting help if you said please and thank you instead of just demanding things!

PC or laptop specs would be a big help if you require any kind of help with this issue. It's possible that you can't even run it on your system if it doesn't support DX11.

Sorry please I can't get it to work on Windows 10 I have installed what you asked me to get on here no joy I have windows 8 and it runs I click offline mode and I get a black screen that's it I've given up if someone would make a walk though on YouTube it would make it easier I understand people have lives but I do like playing thr old games of my pc laptop can't take it its fine I'll leave it but someone has made something we can play so why don't we use that how are you ment to run a game in offline mode

Well - we've got a please, so it's a start I suppose ( there's a first time for everything )

 

1 - Have you tried running it as 'Administrator'? (right-click the Amber 2 on your desktop and click on 'Run as Administrator)

 

2 - if that fails, go inside the Amber 2 core files and click on the 'Release32' folder... Right click on 'Project Amber 2.exe' icon and click 'Run as Administrator' and try that...

 

3 - if that fails, go inside the 'Release64' folder and do exactly the same as in step 2...

 

If that fails...

 

Then you're knackered duck - and I can't help anymore!

can the italian job 2 and simpson run on the original amber ?................

 

...still having probs, getting stressed as well,..........  if ever this amber emu gets to the "mfme emulator stage" where all you have to do is click something and it runs like clockwork without ponsing around with layouts and all that, ill be happy, but until then ill be twidling my fingers and playing all the emus under the mfme 1,0 - 10.0 banner.... 

 

great work so far with amber but until it gets easier to load up and without any probs.....

You have to remember this is a beta release of sorts.   As long as your system can handle DX11 it should be straight forward.

What are you specs john2007. Also do you get the amber menu where you can select offline play?

Make sure you have your basic set up correct.

 

Once project amber 2 is installed, in the installation folder, you should have 5 folders. Components, Layouts, Release32, Release64 and Roms.

 

Make sure, you have got, the unzipped Italian Job 2 layout file, in the layouts folder, it can be in it's own folder, within the folder. The unzipped Italian Job 2 rom files in the rom folder, again they can be in a folder, within the roms folder, so if we do eventually get hundreds of releases, everything will be neat and tidy.

 

For me, it worked without an issue, so if I was to do a video, I'd...

 

1/ Download the emulator.

 

2/ Unzip it

 

3/ install emulator.

 

4/ Download the layout,

 

5/ Unzip it in the layouts folder.

 

6/ Download the roms

 

7/ Unzip them in the roms folder.

 

8/ Go into project amber folder, then into release 64 folder (as my system is 64 bit). I would explain if you have a 32 bit system to go into 32 folder.

 

9/ Run the Project Amber 2.exe file.

 

10/ Once emu open, run the relevant game, in this case Italian Job by Nick.

 

If you've done the 10 steps above and it's doesn't work, then my video would be of no use to you.

Hi guys, found a cool setting on my backup screen reader yesterday. In the mouse settings dialogue, I can select "use audio beeps for mouse co-ordinates checkbox" It beeps as I move left to right, up and down. the beep is a higher or lower tone as I move the mouse. I was told "Offline Play" is at the top near the title bar, I know the musical tone where this is, and to avoid confusion, I have 1 layout and set of ROMs in the folder, depending on which game I want to play. Game selection is difficult if I have Simpsons and Italian Job 2. Once done, my screen reader will say "Amber 2" So I know the game is loading, then I'll here that dreaded beeping! I am glad that blind people have now got access to project Amber this way, but I preferred the old Amber 1 interface with the menu bar, accessible layout wizards etc.

I have the yellow screen come up with online mode offline mode management create I can't see the top or i can't get it working on Windows 10 but windows 8 it runs x64 but when I click I get a blank screen I can't click at the top or bottom

One other thing is to make sure it is running off your graphics card rather rather than intergrated graphics.

What computer are you trying to play it on?.

right click on the exe file you should get a list of options one should be run with graphics processor and there should be an arrow next to that will give you the graphic options on your computer
