File Name: Qps/Mazooma Pink Panther £25 (mute'ish) 1024Wdx

File Submitter: vectra666

File Submitted: 03 Sep 2016

File Category: Scorpion 4

Next up is this 4th anniversary release, Qps/Mazooma's Pink Panther set @£25/30p 86% Again like the classic before it, it is mute, well it has sounds but they're so jumbled up I've lowered the volume via test mode to 1Pc.

 Thanks goto-
Andy-1 for his classic(s) layouts
Riche100 for the flyer upload via the Mecca
Ploggy for reel bands- you may notice a slight out of line when you get the pink bars this is due to the bands slightly out.

Shortcuts are too many to list but are listed within a text file inside the layout file

PLAY THIS IN MFME9.4 ONLY or it'll payout unit error17!!!

Any full colour layout is better than nowt, sometimes the sounds are quiet in arcades too.

Been through all the roms for this machine and the sounds are not correct, the software revision has nowt to do with it,When they update the software the sound of the machine stays the same. Also for a machine like this there are normally two roms, with the size about 1024kb each,so either the rom is right and missing half or it is wrong.

Isn't there a QPS and Mazooma version of this machine, this could be the issue?

This is a qps machine but the ROMs especially the £35 stated mazooma over @ 'coolroms
http://m.coolrom.com...?q=Pink panther
All mazooma apart from the club version of this, also do the other pink panther machine roms run for the scorpion4 machines?

No idea mate, try the roms in a SC4 layout.  Either door open or SEC ERROR 41 I imagine.

One of the last non DOND type machines, I actually didn't mind playing. I remember playing a 10p £5 versions as well, which was still quite entertaining.

Like most machines though, this is usually very predictable, when it is blocking and going to kill you off. Still some of the lower features, can still pay out £7 or £8, so if you hit it right, you can make a quick £5, but of course, most of us, would have pushed it further and ended up broke.

On this machine it loves jackpots you can normally get the mystery bars set up then try hit the red super hold for guaranteed JP, also the super skill stop to, my emu still holding at around 90+%

I checked the sound rom in a hex editor and it states that it is indeed Pink Panther sound. Whether there should be another I don't know. Probably best to find someone with the machine who can check.

There's a guy selling one of these on a FB page I'm on, so I've asked him for a pic of the roms so you might have a better idea on Saturday if he remembers to take the pic lol

That's great, thanks ;). I have a feeling it will have 2 x sound ROMs.
