Looks the same colour as the twenty, purple, bet the machines won't take em, how easy is it to redo a note to recognise them?

I like it also, nice to see Churchill on the back.
Do like the feel and overall look, much more robust, less "paper" like obviously.
I hear next year 10's and 20's will be getting the same treatment, also new £ coin in March !
The government doing everything they can to protect the old British pound.
I should think the note acceptors will be an easy transition ... just wondering what is going to happen to old those old fruit machines scattered around the country when the new pound hits.
Guessing the coin mechs could be updated but what about hoppers and tubes ?!?

Hate them already.but will have to get used to them.
Too much like toy money for my liking.
£1 coins apparently should be fine in hoppers etc but will cost operators a small fortune in having mechs reprogrammed
I'm going to wait till they stop changing stuff before I get mine done I think. Then get all new notes and coins done at same time..... or buy a mech that's already been done.

Not had one yet.
I bet only the most lucrative machines will remain. Will arcades really go through the bother in adapting all machines, particularly large seaside arcades with 50 + , £5 jackpot machines.

Apparently the new pound fits in tubes, mech will need doing.

I suppose they'll have no choice, old 5p's. 10p's and £1's will eventually vanish so if they don't upgrade what will people play them with?

And although conversion costs are technically a loss of revenue, most businesses can legitimately write it off against tax as an allowable business expense.

Though they would have used a more recent pic of the Queen instead of a 60 year old one.
