Brilliant release , thanks to all involved in this .. will be great to play my favourite old classics again with proper sound...
However i keep getting this alert when trying to run it ?.. should i just ignore it , ie false positive ..

It's a false positive mate, as all anti-virus is showing it apparently (on Windows Defender it was blocked on mine, until I clicked run anyway and allow on Firewall

It just wants to read the ip/ports used for networking it seems, to do with the linked up machines i believe.

mfme3,2 did this via avg so i renamed it and it was fine, the newer v5 is ok

must be doing something wrong i'm getting :-
XAudio2 initialisation failed.
Ensure that directx jun2010 Redist is installed
anybody help?

it willl auto store to downloads,but you dont store it- you install it mate

Download Direct X , then create a folder on your desktop , and stick it in there , once you run it , it will ask where you want the extracted files to be put , chose same folder , then run the Dxsetup.exe , once its installed you can delete it.
