Fantastic, Steveir,  been waiting for a classic, epoch, to appear, this and wipeout with the sounds alone were quality fruits, coupled with good fast gameplay, and possible nice streaks,  gona give it a good thrashing now nice one.

Thanks Steve this was always one of my 'most wanted' EPOCH machines :) (See also, Spin On It and Mortal Wombat.) IMO Maygay's output on the tech wasn't really that good in the main, they peaked with M1a/b I think, whereas Impulse knocked out some corkers.

It's amazing to hear the feature music again although as was noted above JPM also used it on Sidewinder which has been emulated for some time, love the sound package overall on Gridrunner and indeed Impulse generally did a great job overall in this area.

I always just straight-forced these in the wild because it would often start the streak (£45-£60 on £15 JP, and then on the £25 JP it could repeat to £50, £75 or even £100 which I did have on one occasion :D) Brilliant sound and lightshow for the jackpot repeater as well.

This is a really good classic layout, everything's clear and well laid out, 'feels' like the real machine in terms of layout, and a perfect key configuration right out of the box too - every single box well and truly ticked, and a fine return to layout creation - good to see you back in the saddle :)

Many thanks!

I'd say mid-late 1999.

Welcome back to the layout game.

Noticed a small error on this one, no biggy and easily changeable by the end user, the £15 on the red trail, didn't offer me a repeat chance, so I'm guessing it's not a repeat chance.

A very good classic layout, that captures the machine very well.

This machine is a very well known machine and one I've seen requested many times, before Epoch was possible. I'm not really a fan, but it's just as I remember it, 10, 3, 10, 3, 10, 3, not as bad for it, as hurricane though. The best thing going for it, are the sounds and the jackpot sequence.

Oh yeah, one little overriding story about this machine, was playing it in a pub with a mate, another mate said, I tell you what, we both said what, he said smell that, we did and he'd done the most disgusting fart and we couldn't play the machine for a good few minutes, never forget that.
