I have downloaded meltdown from here http://www.fruit-emu...y-epoch-25pl25/but mfme says lithograph missing. Is there something I am missing or is this fruit not emulated yet like Red Dwarf?

It's a font.

 

Extract this and double click on it.

No, it's just the :type: that is missing, it won't ruin game play, I will upload the font when I get home.

The font should be fine IF you stick it in the correct place.

 

you need to stick it into your fonts.

 

when you extract the font/ right click and select   copy

 

start/ control panel/ fonts/ paste.  all done.

So meltdown works it just doesnt look like the real machine

It's a classic layout.
Not a dx that looks like the real machine.
its supposed to look the way it does.

you could have a go at doing a layout yourself, we're in need of newbie creators to take on the challenge and its a great feeling when you finally complete a dx or three knowing the fact other members are enjoying hours of fun on something you've produced.

As for layouts in general, they're a bit like us. the roms are our internal organs the classic parts the bones, muscles etc, the dx is the skin and outer features. all different but all the same in most ways.

The classic created is a fantastic recreation.

I think it is overlooked the work that goes into creating a classic layout,and as many have pointed out in previous posts it is quite often a lot more time consuming than a dx layout is.

I count 80+ layouts so far created for the new emu and i'm more than sure many more are in production.

We all have to be patient for future releases, but we should also all appreciate the dedication put into the releases and above all,(take note)that all the layout creators do all of this for free!!

A little thanks and appreciation,goes a long way-

Statistics don't lie just look at the majority of downloads and the numbers downloaded to comments/posts made!

@gemini17 my intention was not to belittle the work done, far from it.Just that I wanted to know if i needed to do anything else to get it working. I greatly appreciate all the layout creators who give their time and effort - especially Vectra666 and Pook
