Would be nice if it was on here too, would avoid all this signposting...
Looking at it through DAD's eyes: he has a site, by keeping them exclusive to DADsFME, he gets new members joining and in return
they get something a little bit different to download which they can't get here or over at the Mecca.
Maybe DAD could do what Reg does and put the information of his latest releases on here with a link to his site?
At least then, folks on here would know where to go and download them from.

He used to same as pook put them under new release but there used to be a linky to his site.
End of the day it's Dad's layout's and it's his choice whether he releases en mass or not.

I think the idea is to get people over to Dad's, so more members can join up and hopefully join in the conversation as they say.
Even during the very dark days, Dad's has always attempted to keep the FME light burning, even though, they were only a handful of members posting.

Correct! Having thought about it, things a little different now to the old 'dark' days. Alex now owns the 'dadsfme.co.uk' domain and also hosts the website so maybe it's a little unfair to direct people away from Fruit Emu.
The main reason I kept them at DADsFME though is that the last batch of layouts I released were Astra. We don't really know yet what the response from the manufacturers is yet concerning MFME V. I thought it best to keep a reasonably low profile. It's been a good few weeks now though so hopefully they're OK with it.
To have the support of the manufacturers would be absolutely fantastic, a bit like Empire did in the early days. I've always said that FME does NOT stop people playing machines, in some cases its quite the opposite and we're actually promoting their products. Yeah OK the machines we emulate are a few years old and in some cases redundant techs, but nevertheless its still getting their names out there. To have their blessing and to provide access to roms, manuals and artwork would be a dream come true.
