On a few machines, especially the Lucky Strikes, if you go higher then a 2 it shall go to a 1, or lower then a 11 and it will go to a 12. Why do machines do this?

On Lucky Strikes in my town, I always go higher then a 7 and its like 8 out of 10 times it will win. I do lower then 4 and lower then 5 and they win sometimes, But why? lol

I mean who would go higher then a 7, there mad. So i must be mad.

Simply because it's programmed to do so.....It will win if it's going to pay.

Try reinstalling an Emulation after playing for a while.....As the ROM will start in the same state at 'the end of the day' you will end up (or down!!!) exactly the same time after time.

There is the case that it's not a gamble due to the pre-determined result...then thats another story!

I didn't realise that people were naive enough to think hi-los weren't rigged to hell :)

I was playing jigging in the riggin years ago and went lower on a 12. It only came in on a 12 and kicked me off the board. Like Ady says if its gonna pay it will, but in my case definetely not! :)

Works the other way too, in IM mode, say on pie factory on a red board,
try loosing on hi-los. You will always win, even if you go lower than a 2, or higher than 11..

I think its silly to *always* get beat on 2 & 11, but win on other numbers.... that's no fun at all......a bit like Poker, higher on a 3 = 2 & Q = K

If the machine doesnt wanna pay then give you 6 or 7 :p at least that way you expect to lose and it doesn't leave you pissed off

Having said that, if machines were to offer 6s and 7s you would expect people to collect the win offered, no cash would go into the 'streakpot' or towards a JP, and surely less wins would be offered - at least of a high value anyway - without a huge period of dead play to compensate?

I think it's best just not to touch them :p
