Hi all new to the forum not to classic fruit machines.

I've bought a bellfruit scorpion 5 for someone as an Xmas present and it is fitted with a Mei 9524e cash flow coin mech.

It's Ex pub stock and is really fussy with the pound coins it accepts, tried to float it using refill key and nearly took me an hr to get it to accept the coins.

Can anybody suggest a better mech for me to replace it with?

or a way of making mech less fussy as it's only for home use and I am not considering security measures for the coinage?

Or best cleaning method for the mech?

I have also some scorpion 4 mars 126dx coin mechs from previous machines are these compatible as they seem a lot more tolerable.

Best cleaning method is spray some polish on a cloth, open the spring loaded flap and give it a good clean Inside.
