Can someone take a look at Super Star and see about the number reel, tried various offsets but still not right. During the feature, the moves it makes aren't correct. If you correct it to the number of moves it's just made, on the next spin, the moves and number still don't tally. Also when you get a win and the number is obviously a 12 or 1 because it's only telling you to go hi or lo, even if you offset the reel to the 12 or 1 position still isn't correct. So I'm guessing it's something else.

There are a few machines I've come across, with the same issue, Paparazzi being another. If we have the solution to one, it could be useful for other machines, with the same issue.

Just set the number reel to Reversed, with offset set to 0

Ok for Paparazzi it was something completely different I had trouble with, yes the number reel needs offsetting and so do the reels, but I now remember why I gave up before and it was for the reason below.

Bear with me here lol. The trouble was I thought the other reels were wrong even after offsetting, but there is a simple but not obvious reason why.  So you spin in three symbols and only one of them has a number one on it, but the trail shows 2 numbers added, so maybe the symbol should have a 2 on it. Ok not a problem. I get a hold, so hold them all and then it'll advance to 4 on the trail and bonus. But no it doesn't the trail doesn't move at all, so WTF. Maybe the trail 3 lamp isn't working. But it is working just fine, because holding them again advances to 3. Hmm what is going on. So I tried different offsets, but in the end the problem is the number 1 and 2 on the trail has the same lamp number. DOH!!!

Anyway it's uploaded, with the payout error I had corrected and the number and other reels offset corrected and appears now to be working absolutely fine. Also renumbered the lamp numbers which should be 228 for 1 and 229 for 2. Not both 228.

Doors are fine on it, gives pay unit 17, no matter what hoppers are checked\not checked, either on start up or payout.

Good news, about the fix, looking forward to the next version and going in and hopefully getting some more machines running properly, like Tetris and of course the Union Games machines.

Sorry guys, but Paparazzi, still needs the top feature sorting. The amounts awarded do not match the decal, I seem to remember, that this was an issue from initial release and was the case in Jpemu as well. Perhaps the source work was wrong, or for another jackpot version or the lamp numbers are incorrect. Doesn't ruining the DX though, but nice to see if it can be sorted. I'm off out now, so no time to really look.

Strange, if you've download the one I attached that shouldn't be an issue. If it's another one, make sure under the configuration tab in the PIC CODE box BC25 and Pic 2 selected, that's the only thing I can think, yours may not have.

It's all ticked as stated-I think its clashing with parts of the Adams Family slot when I downloaded them both.

Think I need to put the files into one file but havnt a scooby doo on my laptop-knew what to do on my pc(well just about)-lol :nah:

do you put the files in individual folders, as  remember back in 2011 i had the same problem "wrong characteristic error" due to placing the individual files all in one file not separate ones

always when you download the layouts if they're not in a brown folder already like mine are, make a "new folder" onto desktop then rename it to say "addams family" then place the relevant roms etc for that layout within it

Would be a shame if Vec's 50th release was broken, particular as I think it's a great machine also.

So here is Vec's Star Prize 1024 DX, working in MFME v5.1

If you want to do it yourself, change the coin mech to parallel, so it'll accept coins, uncheck hopper 1, to clear hopper empty error. Resize dot alpha to fit by setting it to, x size 1, y size 1, dot spacing 0, digit spacing 1.

Finally Vec's this is a great DX even at 1024, but please consider making a larger version sometime in the future, maybe your next milestone layout lol.

Side note for anyone who knows, probably Wizard, but on initial load of the layout the diag shows the following. It doesn't show after the layout is closed and saved.
Layout property 8 Length 4 Deprecated
Layout property 19 Length 4 Deprecated
Layout property 29 Length 4 Deprecated

What does it mean?

I think I may still have the original on/off art for this
It was originally made from photos maybe a first for me at the time
A whopping 400mbs so around 12000x16000 should be big enough lol
Also you may notice the green IM lamp is missing or incorrectly placed

It means some config items in the loaded layout file aren't used anymore and are just ignored, when it's resaved they are discarded.

This usually happens when loading old dat files.

Coin values bit0 - bit7 from the drop down box ( or single button numbers ) are used for parallel mechs only, if you select a binary mech you have to use the Binary coin values !

Would be great on day to see it fully working and in hi res. I really think the sound on this really gets you drawn in as well.

Ah yes, we had this before, just searched this thread and found it. not CC talk = binary, CC Talk = parallel. But if the machines allows you can choose either.

Nothing to do with ccTalk that is a serial protocol, my point was you must choose the right value to use depending on whether you have selected a Binary or Parallel coin mech

Ah, ok, it was just you said in the thread earlier,  " binary mech, £1 MPU5 It's *NOT* a ccTalk machine! ".

So I wrongly came to the above conclusion.  :err:
