Well, this one ended nicely. The fella came round today and paid in cash,
his nephew had been looking after his house while he was away, and had taken liberties......
Then (whilst I was having a nap) the lad who did the dirty deed actually turned up to pay! My lass answered and told him we had already been paid, so it looks like he must have got a bollocksing for him to actually turn up at last....
Course, ebay didnt give a flying duck about this when it was happening, not
even with a police incident number - getting ebay to do anything about fraud is like trying to get mother teresa to run a brothel....
T*ssers on ebay.

yeah thats the one, the guy asked if it didnt work he`d break his legs or give him a kicking, to which the seller replied "oh i need that after being at work all day"
well, that was a total fraud, but seller took it off last minute. dunno how they get away with it.

they get away with it cos ebay absolutely refuse to ever do anything no matter how many people report it, or no matter how obvious a scam it is.
They will only act if contacted by the law etc, or if the copyright holder gets in touch. Tell em about a fraud, try and stop people from getting conned and ebay will just do sweet f.a.
"we are only a venue" is how ebay gets away with it.
But I figure, if say I ran a car boot sale, and someone told me the third car from the end was a con artist, and they had proof, I would kick that car out - not say as ebay does I just run the venue not my problem, as far as I am concerned ebay is aiding and abetting criminals in their acts. God I hope someone sues ebay sometime..... (actually someone did report em to the
data protection people - who slapped their wrists for not following the rules, and they are keeping an eye on ebay, if they get any more complaints they will do something)
ebay is full of good people, but its also got a heck of a lot of criminals (more so since the idiots advertised on the tv....)
Course they also get away with it as people bid on the items.......
Makes me laugh some of the auctions I see for emptiers, manipulators and so on.... The crap they come out with - and if you use ask seller a question, they never ever ever answer you....
