What a nasty whore of a machine that Smash N Grab is. Also - is the JP 15quid? I took 'Bank Roll', it said Jackpot on the alpha and awarded 15 rather than 10?

Took 60quid - and I only took a quid win in that whole 60 - to get one JP out!

Tick Back Door and select the drop menu, most Barcrest's will allow you to alter Stake %age etc

That is because the lamp number for that section of the reel is 0, if you put the machine in design mode, right click the reel then click properties, now click the custom checkbox and add a zero in the lamp t box it should work ok.

You will need to save the layout after you alter the reel by clicking design > layout/game > save layout. Find the folder the layout is in and click save, click yes to overwrite the existing file.

You may find that it still will not light the next time you start the layout, if that happens you will need to follow the instructions again but this time uncheck the custom box AFTER you add the 0.

and so there is no need for anything else to be done,it will automatically change the amounts/payouts that are won in the game??,although obviously the win amounts will look the same on the layout!

I thought you would have to mess around with the dip switches to change the jackpot and the payout amounts!?!?!?!

Some you do some you don't --- Depends on which machine it is.

Have you tried playing?....RB suggested the method if the Drop menu don't work.

As I understand it, the dropdowns emulate the 'Stake & Prize' and 'Percentage' ports on the gamecard of the machine. Not all machines can have their settings changed using this method, exceptions being say ROMs which are stuck on £6 Token JP, and come Club machines - you may get different stakes by using the DIPs on Club machines but some ROMs are fixed.

You'll not get the ROMs for Thriller, IMHO, to run anything more than say possibly £15 JP, and that may be pushing it. £25 will only work on specific ROMs and on machines made after 2001.

You Need to be using Mfme V2...if you are using mfme v2 then try reunzipping the layout....sometimes winzip f***s up when it is unpacking...

25p is the maximum stake the machine will accept. Thriller was a Crystal rebuild of Sonic the supersonic slimy snail, released when the £15 jackpot was fresh on the scene. I very much doubt £25 jackpot setting will work, although you could try.
Nice little game on £5 jackpot/25p play. Takes £50+ to force on a really dead machine though!

As for Smash 'n Grab, they did have a £15 jackpot/5p play one @78% in Cashcade in Leicester. That must have taken a whole day to force out at the wrong time! A fairly uninspiring machine in real life, but probably a bit of a laugh on the emulator.

"Watch the camera, watch the camera!" I might have to download it just for that very amateurish sample it has on it.

£25 will just give you an error as it is unsupported... due to the fact that this was done from photographs of the £5 jackpot machine and i havent seen the £15jp version anywhere,(not even running free over the plains of salisbury) and i couldnt be arsed to redraw the shitty artwork..it will have to stand until such time as more artwork is sourced...

I've got Thriller currently set up for £10 repeat is that's any good - I could mail some photos? It's a much better game at £10/20p than £5/5p.
